First and foremost I am a grandmother, nuturing 4 granchildren who live with me. I have "retired" from full time work to care for the children and my husband who is final stages of renal failure and Diabetes. Even though both of these activites keep me pretty busy, I miss the creative aspect of interacting with those outside my home. I have an insatiable desire to the know who, what, where and whys of almost everything and like to find the humor in all situations. After all, if we cannot laugh in the face of diversity and challenges where is the joy in life. I have taught High School with focus in Engineering Technology working with Nasa Engineers to stoke the interest in Engineering in todays youth. Mentoring students involvement in the F.I.R.S.T.(For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) organization fed my interest in Robotics which is still of great interest to me. Curosity is my greatest strength and keeps me looking for new things to see and explore.
  • John Blankenship
I taught electrical engineering and computer technology for 33 years before retiring. Now a colleague and I created a highly motivational teaching language called RobotBASIC. We give RobotBASIC away totally FREE to both schools and individuals in order to promote interest in science, math, physics, and electronics. I constantly publish articles and books on hobby robotics. I even have one book on financial planning for young adults. I grew up in WV, spent most of my life in GA, and recently moved to FL with my lovely wife.

Hey there. I guess I'll tell a little about myself. I'm 17 and a senior in high school (class of 2012). I enjoy tae kwon do, riding, musicals, and dance. I sometimes teach riding lessons or work at a preschool when I need money. I volunteer at a hospital for work experience. I want to study biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt when I graduate. That means I'm a math and science nerd and I like that. At school I'm in Art and Robotics and I'm a senior class officer. I attend a private christian school. I am enrolled in 6 AP classes this year. (I've been called insane for that). My favorite muscial: Avenue Q music: country movie: I am number 4 actor: Channing Tatum tv: Bones book: The curious incident of the dog in the night-time Anyway at school I enjoy robotics and art.
  • Nate Ludwig
My name is Nate Ludwig. I enjoy the exciting things in life. I am very skilled when it comes to acrobatics, gymnastics, tricking, parkour, etc... I have videos on YouTube as a demonstration (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryhT_OXsqY4). I also have a fascination with computers and electronics. I can easily build an advanced computer from scratch, repair either hardware or software issues, remove viruses, do remote assistance, support calls, on-site installations etc... I love technology and new inventions, robotics, all forms of devices and mechanical components. I like learning as much as possible about... well... as much as possible. In my opinion you only live once, so learning as much as possible about that life you're given is a must. Our time on this Earth is limited. Why waste that time being oblivious to everything around us?

  • carol gibson
Insatiable curiosity spearheads many endeavors, including occupational pursuits for Carol Gibson. She advocates for literacy by volunteering in a community, donation-based bookstore. Carol enjoys research and learning something new every day. Her motivation for writing and publishing on the internet is that of sharing the potpourri of random interests and insights, and hoping others find something of note that may be helpful. A special interest in moon sign astrology emerged after long term empirical observation approached with skepticism. Tested through gardening activities as a novice gardener, the success showed up by outproducing the more "experienced" gardeners. The moon sign gardening experience evolved into observation of the general emotional climate observed in daily life. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Carol believes that the best art is art that heals. Carl Jung's work with mandala symbolism is a very special interest that helps to integrate the many sides of her multifaceted life. Carol has a certification in electronics and robotics from the National Institute of Technology. .
