Donald CampbellI went to school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I graduated from Del Norte HS and then the University of New Mexico. I received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Anthropology. After graduating, I taught for 5 years in the Albuquerque Public School System. I love sports. I played with the Albuquerque Aardvarks Rugby club in the 70's. I played a lot of golf and became an avid skier. I moved to Taos Ski Valley where I worked for 18 years. I was a groomer and I worked hard on improving as a skier. I had the good fortune to live and work in New Zealand for several seasons. I made some very important and lasting friendships and increased my love for and knowledge of the game of Rugby. For the last 14 years, I have been and over the road truck driver, traveling all of our 48 continental United States. The cab of an 18 wheeler is a great place to observe the people and scenery of our great country. I feel I am a bit of a split personality. I have an interest in intellectual pursuits and could have lived in that mythical Ivory Tower. There was another part of me that always loved machines and trucks. I wanted to do things and make things and work outside. That side won for much of my life. It is possible to do both, but I find in our culture people either work or are intellectual, and there is some distrust between the two sides. I now live in Farmington, NM, which is a very interesting place culturally and scenically. I am once again pursuing an interest in photography and observation. I also have a great love for motorcycles and have made many trips around the country on two wheels.
