  • Susan Brice
Formerly an educator, I am currently a new stay-at-home mom to a beautiful 9 month old daughter named Claire Margaret. She has taught me more than I ever learned in grad school. My former life includes one of teaching inner-city children in Detroit and serving as an administrator for a group of private schools run by an obscure religous group known as the Exclusive Brethren. Working for this group brought me all over North America from Western Canada to Orlando, Florida evaluating thier schools and teachers. This group is regarded as a cult in Austrailia. It was one of the most interesting experiences of my life. On paper, I hold an B.A. in Sociology and an M.S. in Educational Administration. I hold current certification as a professional teacher (k-8) and administrator (k-12) in the State of Michigan. In person, I enjoy spending my time teaching my new daughter how to play, figuring out how to survive as a single income family, and remaining keen on trends within my field.

As such, he remains well versed in the insurance industry with a unique insight into the inner workings of this field, the language and application of the policies and the overall residential and commercial building claims process. David is an avid reader of novels, newspapers and online articles. He enjoys the writings of John Grisham, Michael Connelly, Dean Koontz, Michael Crichton and numerous other authors. As a former basketball, football and track athlete at high school and college levels, he remains a dedicated sports fan and current, casual sports player. • Michael Harding
I was born and raised in Washington DC as a third generation Washingtonian. I went to Penn State to study wildlife management and graduated with a BS in Wildlife and Fishery Science and a minor in History. Over the next few years, I worked in the restaurant industry and in construction before landing a job as a tour guide for a nationwide tour company. I worked for 8 years guiding small group, multi-week adventure camping tours of the US and Canada and travelling around the world in my off-seasons. I have travelled to all 50 states, and 50 countries on 5 continents. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, I moved to New Orleans and got a teaching certificate. I have taught math and science in high-needs schools in inner-city New Orleans and in Washington DC. I currently live in Japan where I teach English at the elementary and junior high school level in a small rural community. Life has been good to me and I have a huge variety of skills and experiences. I am glad I have found this venue to share what I know

I had my first girlfriend in kindergarten. We had one beautiful year together and then she was gone. My earliest organizing experience was in first grade when my classmates and I were being picked on by the those big special kids. My sister had to take me home, immediately. I would later find out that those special needs kids were picked on, too. At nine years-old, I came to the defense of a large, new, black special needs student, who found himself encircled by an angry student mob on his first day of school. Our family moved quite a bit as boy, four schools in five years, as my father battled his gambling addiction. I was usually the top academic student in my grade.I cut my teeth in the restaurant business at Stan Musial and Biggies in St.Louis and became friends of the man. I started my own yard service at 14. In my senior year in high school, I saw the introduction of desegregation at Cleveland High in St.Louis. I sang in a band at eighteen and began writing songs. I played eight different sports in high school and college, and became a broadcaster after starring in preseason basketball, but being told playing time had already been given out. I was a freelance sports feature writer, once writing thirteen features in one evening, after a particularly successful state track meet. I passed on a potential law career to teach kids. I Minored in Biology and passed on an offer from my Cell Biology teacher at St.Louis University to pursue a career in medicine. After a bad experience in teaching, I trained in X-ray and Ultrasound, and began saving lives and diagnosing people, after all. I constantly battled medical managers that put profit over patient safety, and was usually chased out of town, vowing to tell all. I volunteered to be a medic in the armed services after 9-11, but just missed the an age requirement, that later was changed. I had neck surgery five years ago and was back on the soccer field in five months. My nicknames from sports are Speed and El G

As a doctoral student studying education policy and planning, she is pursuing her interest in helping more underrepresented students go to college and successfully graduate through various studies involving public schools. She has degrees in civil engineering, business administration, and information management -- basically because she cannot figure out what she wants to be when she grows up. In addition to spending time with her husband and two children, she enjoys reading and watching movies in her free time.
  • Jennifer Pasanski
I am a married mother of 2. My children are in school. I am a teacher, but also a fitness coach through Beachbody. My husband and I have been married for 15 years (I think...I am not the sentimental type!). I survived 12 years of Catholic schools, including an all-girl high school. I went to a public University, where I met my husband. I grew up in the suburbs, but now live in a rural area near a mid-sized University. I am a typical working mother...busy, but trying to fit it all in! My claim to greatness was when I was in high school (a looong time ago!) and I submitted a poem for a contest. My poem was second place...the prize was a four year scholarship to Wayne State University! The first place winner took the prize, though, so I didn't really win anything. (womp womp womp!).

My husband and I own a construction company, specializing in residential and commercial remodeling in the DFW area. We also offer a full-scale cabinet shop with on-site design services. I am responsible for the bookwork, accounting, vendor information and other paperwork. I enjoy the management aspect of the self-employment world.
