SCI FI

I am a nerd. Have been since... well, probably not since I was born, but more than likely shortly thereafter. Perhaps the culprits to blame are my mother and grandmother, who didn't stomp out my deep-seeded love of Indiana Jones and Batman, but rather set it on fire with Star Wars in 1996 when I was five years old. And it's all been downhill from there. Now I'm entirely and arguably unhealthily devoted to and fascinated with the likes of Joss Whedon and Superman (who I'm convinced may be the same person), and am at the moment, in a massive amount of debt after a year of film school, attempting to work into a position where I can personally contribute to the sci-fi/fantasy lexicon that I'm sure my father wishes I'd never discovered existed. Dear whoever is reading this, My names Jerod and I've been an avid reader since i could read, i have over 100 books in my house and I've read them all at least twice. I love sci-fi and fantsy, my personal favorites are the Pendragon series and the Fablehaven Series, i also love action thrillers like those of Tom Clancy or Iris Johansen. Hello and welcome to the LoriLynnS profile page ~ I am a huge fan of a number of genres of Entertainment - books, movies, TV, reality TV, music and art (mostly my own but I do check out the art posted on Elfwood). The thing is, I am not a 100% mainstream. I'm like a cross between the party girl, cause you know I like to get my groove on, and a sci-fi con-going-lovable geek, who smiled all the way through the 2009 Star Trek movie and knows who the Black Panther is in the TV cartoon version of Spider Man. Something I've noticed missing for misfits like me is honest reviews of the books and movies I like. I get that everyone's taste is individual but these movies and books wouldn't be making it if there wasn't more like minded people out there who like shaking their booty to Beyonce, getting shocked when Snookie got smacked on Jersey Shore, reading smutty paranormal romances by LKH and watching Wolverine with the oh so yummy Hugh Jackman. I plan on sharing my take on various novels, movies, TV shows, artworks and music in the hopes that I can generate some fan appreciation from the public for the items write about. I'm a Gemini and I follow those horoscope traits of a dual personality so I promise to keep this fun and to shake it up. Enjoy~

I am a 23-year-old college student. I am currently enrolled in both Marketing and Management degrees at Penn State. I have been writing all of my life and I've currently written over one hundred short stories and articles in the genres sci-fi, fantasy, humor, and current events. I hope to one day publish a fantasy novel and to travel the world.

I am a avid fan of Sci-Fi genre. In my spare time I love to write my own Sci-Fi stories along with poetry and some non-fiction stories as well. Although I do like Sci-Fi, it is not the only genre am into I do enjoy a good non-fiction story and going to the movies is a big thing with me. I really do love living in the modern era, with all it's gadgets and wonders it fits me to a T, but I am not the type of person to be first in line to buy the newest, hottest tech gadget, no siree am no guinea pig. I'll wait till they work out all the kinks.

Had a mint 1968 Cougar XR-7. 1981-1985, in the US Navy working on the flightdeck of CV-66 USS America as a plane captain. Fueled & oiled jets & stood in front of jet giving info to pilots on flaps,engines,etc. Visited Kenya(sawMTKilamijarolive), Greece(stood on theParthenon & saw original OlympicStadium), Spain,Venezuela,and many Caribbean isles.Been a line cook-15yrs,janitor-5yrs & many other jobs.LUV science fiction of any kind- HUGE Asimov fan,also Heilein,Niven,Herbert-non dune books & most Sci-Fi shows(have seen ALL star trek) & movies.
