I'm a 45 year old married mother of three---two boys, ages 16 and 13, and a girl, 6. I (mostly) love being a mother, and my children have led me to many new interests and concerns---education, childrens' media, health issues such as asthma, special needs parenting (my daughter is autistic), thrifty living (we've lived on mostly one income since my older son was born, and believe me, it's caused a need for thrift!), family travel and so many more fun and not so fun parenting topics. I try to find time for my own hobbies---avid reading, Scrabble and other word games and (unskillful) knitting!

Jessica Teng is a ridiculously talented fifteen-year-old who spends her time being a ninja and role model for less awesome human beings. That’s code for “Jessica is actually a guy-deprived homeschooler living under a rock.” Well, it’s technically China, but same thing, right? To distract herself from the fact that her social circle has the radius of Thumbelina’s dainty waist, Jessica plays online Scrabble (don’t judge, yo), draws pretentiously complex abstract art, and writes brilliant blog posts for the masses.

I can't say that I am an accomplished writer but I have a strong desire to be one. I enjoy typing on the computer. At my age, the very thought of sitting in front of a machine and typing short stories is a dream come true. I am a retired tax consultant. Grandmother of eleven grands. I love to read, sew and play scrabble. I can still shoot a mean hoop every once in a while. My friends call me" jazzy old babe" which I wear like a badge. I am married to a wonderful man who use to sing with the old time "Spaniels". Together, we enjoy singing in our church's senior center. I look forward to many more years of writing.

I'm your typical piscean. I daydream constantly about the future and regret many things from my past. But I'm healing. Self-forgiveness is a slow process. I want a jellyfish aquarium and I'm a bookworm. My family is demented, perverse and beautiful. I'm in love with my perfectly flawed teddybear. Piercings and tattoos are subjects of fascination. A current ratio of 8:1. I could spend all day in a museum. Specifically Art or Natural History. Snowglobes, Books, Old Cartoons, Chocolate, I Love Lucy reruns and Horror Movies are things I'd like to be buried with. I have joint custody with my loverboy over one boa, two ball pythons, and an insane dog. I wish I had the room to rescue all the animals that needed rescuing but it doesn't always work that way. On good days, I smell like vanilla. On bad days, I smell like stale sleep. Sunflowers make me giddy. As do candles. I could play Mario and Scrabble all night. Although, I'm not much for insomnia anymore. I love college because of the brainwork. And 9 days out of 10, I'm content with the world around me.

I have been writing internet content for several years on various issues and have been a staff writer for several e-zines. I am a movie-lover and live just a stone s throw away from New York City. I have three adult sons, who live on the West Coast and I am in a wonderful relationship with Prince Charming.
