With a background in Communication Studies and Sociology thanks to his BA from Wilfred Laurier University, Neil takes an interest in marketing from both a communications and social behavior standpoint. With a budding focus on green management and sustainability, Neil hopes to bring awareness to how corporations can maintain green business practices, programs and products. A truly multitalented guy, Neil’s side projects include photography and painting, while maintaining interests in gamification, anthrozoology, world-travel and Google Analytics.

I am self employed with an online business. After graduating college with a dual Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice I started my first business. A family owned and operated motel. I've many interest and hobbies. One of them is writing, something I truly enjoy.

I am a native Ohioan, graduate of Little Miami High School, Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, and The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. I have studied both criminology and health and am currently working as a researcher in oral health. I am also a part-time faculty instructor in Sociology. I live on acreage in Ross County, Ohio just outside of Frankfort with my husband (Dwayne), bulldog (Elliot), orange tabby cat (Peanut), a Belgian/Haflinger cross gelding (Duke) and a Haflinger gelding (TJ).

I am a husband, father of three, and I have traveled to places like Africa and Brazil. I studied Sociology, Anthropology, and Archaeology in college. I attend church and read the Bible; I do a lot of personal study of religion. I have been a youth pastor for four years and have been preaching for nearly 10 years. I write poetry and love to watch MMA and boxing. I am from a small town in Arkansas but have been to some of the biggest cities in the United States and the world. I have attended three different colleges: Baylor University, Ouachita Baptist University, and Henderson State University. I love music! I listen to Christian rock, rap, contemporary, etc. I also love to do DIY projects around my home and do Handyman jobs for others around where I live.

Tasha is a sociology graduate and is focused on advocacy, child abuse prevention, parenting, family, tolerance, and healthcare. She also dabbles in iPhone topics, retail topics, and other areas.

It's hard to write a biography when you're young - the incompleteness of it makes it difficult to know where to start or where to end. When it comes to writing, it feels like its all I have done my entire life. When I was four, my mom gave me an Anne of Green Gables notebook, in which to write the stories that I was constantly losing myself in. Ever since, not a day goes by in which I don't take a pen to paper. Life happens, and I have chosen a career that leads me to countries far away, to meet cultures vastly different than my own. It is these experiences that make me who I am - my desire to help create a comprehensive sustainable development model, my passion for sociology and the way that people interact - it all perhaps stems from my desire to understand. After all, we write what we know.

Born and raised in Central California, Susana studied Sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has worked in various social service positions, including teaching Parenting Classes. Susana also worked as a Special Education Teacher before deciding to become a stay at home mom for her four young children.

Diana Dull Akers is a Parenting Guru for Yahoo Shine where she enjoys sharing observations and lessons learned raising her adopted daughter, Maya, age 4. A self-defined "late bloomer to love, marriage, housing purchases and parenting," Diana enjoys writing from her life-over-50 vantage point. Diana developed her "sociological imagination" while earning her PhD in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC). After teaching Sociology and Gender Studies for several years, she has since worked as an applied sociologist and researcher for a California based social and behavioral science research firm. Diana's formal areas of expertise include social and behavioral aspects of health and prevention, families, aging, sexual health and social psychology. In other areas, Diana relishes being a not-so-closeted foodie, inspired by a two-year stint in a humble culinary program in the early 1980s. She maintains her love for cooking, baking, the Food Network and scrutinizing restaurants in obsessive detail. These days she's busy showing her daughter how to roll snickerdoodles and integrating her garden's bounty into Italian family recipes.

I am currently a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin. I will be finishing my Master's in Sociology this spring. My thesis discusses factors that predict nonbelief in god among Americans.
