I may have learned a few things in my life through observation and being in a variety of situations. I grew up on the east coast, and must admit that the only things I really miss from there are a very few good friends, and the great food. I did not marry my high school sweetheart, but found true life long Love after a failed marriage. I climbed the ladder of success, graduating college with honors while holding a full time supervisory job. I burned out and jumped off the ladder, exchanging the new cars, motorcycles and two story houses of the past, for a 20 year old trailer home and salvage yard vehicles I found my comfort zone in the middle of Missouri and now consider it to be my home.
  • Jen Wheaton
I'm a mother of 3, formerly a High School English Teacher. I have been a stay at home mom for 3 years and I am now waitressing part-time and have finally found a way to break into my true love: writing. Like millions of other people around the world, I am a Facebook fanatic (mostly because it is generally my only contact with the outside adult world during the day). As a result, many of my friends and family have told me that they love my status' and comments, think that they're hilarious and that I should start a blog. So, I figured, "Why not?" I love writing, I love being quirky and funny, and it all comes natural, because it's all true life for me!

Several of my true crime magazine articles were republished into an anthology book series published by Pinnacle Books. An article that I wrote for American Mafia.com titled: The Mafia Is Recruiting Sicilian Mobsters. This compelling story was republished by Thomson Gale in an anthology series titled: Is the Mafia Still a Force in America, edited by David M. Haugen. Between 1998-2003, I wrote feature crime articles for John Walsh's American Most Wanted crime magazine and TV show. Fugitive stories and organized crime material that appeared on Most Wanted TV program was re-written into Walsh's magazine with the same name as the show. Being a top-crime gunslinger who loves to pen the workings of true life crime dramas I currently write for Gangsterinc, Crime Magazine.com and True Crime Book Reviews including Alternet.Org. I recently wrote a piece for Alternet titled: American Banks 'High' on Drug Money. This story registered close to 100,000 views. Here in Houston I write a Blog for Houston Chronicle newspaper. • Andrew Torchon
Upon his exodus from the Bay area, Mr. Torchon returned to the Southland and took a stab at Hollywood where he ran a feature film production company on the warmer side of Sunset blvd. After paying his dues with the schmoozing and the boozing he decided to leave the land of suits, suites and sushi and brave the real world of film making by going off to uncharted back water locations and truly getting his hands dirty. Working as the archetypical everyman, Mr. Torchon spent time performing a variety of duties that included assistant to several Producers and Directors, PA, grip, electrician, production coordinator, craft service consultant and product placement director. When home once again called he turned his attention to writing and was hired by his non English speaking Sensei to create a martial arts action screenplay, one that would showcase his master's expansive combat prowess and limit speaking abilities. This required him to write dialogue that boiled down to short, funny and Confucius inspired sentences. His next assignment was much darker and would involve months of research as Mr. Torchon developed and wrote a teleplay based upon the true life events of the secret Israeli Mosaad's airlift of Ethiopian Jews from the Sudan refugee camp on the border of war torn Ethiopia which was originally considered for Turner Broadcast. Mr. Torchon has applied his talents to everything from script and character development to producing long format radio programs and infomercials, advertising media buyer to Web Marketing strategies and event promotions. His writing skills have covered the gambit from commercial ad copy, Infomercials and marketing/sales materials to screenplays, treatments, biographies and novels. He is known for his quick wit, descriptive writing style and size 12 shoes. A dedicated father of one, Andrew devotes his time between family, friends and forays into such eclectic hobbies as martial arts, music, movies, food and rescuing small woo
  • P De Leon
My name is Paul De Leon. I reside in Texas. I am eagerly seeking out avenues to enhance and perfect my writing. I currently write in the filming department on Digtial Hippos website. I am also working with several marketing agencies in the filming world including Sony Columbia, Disney and Universal. My passion in writing is born from true life events. I thrive on them and love to bring them to descriptive words in order to share them with others. I also am a father of four and one baby girl who passed away at birth. This event changed who I was as a person, a husband and dad. I use my writing to find healing by expressing my feelings around and about real life. Not everyone will agree, not everyone will laugh but you can be sure that it is honest and transparent. I hope to be able to find solace in my writing but I also hope to help someone else who may be going through a trial that seems bigger than life. Thank you for stopping by. Hope you enjoy what you find!

My pets also have a place in my writing world. I like to write about their exploits. I love the life that God gave me. He has been a great inspiration in my life. He has given me the gift of writing and the gift of being able to sew. Most of my prose and poetry is from true life experience and that is mainly what I like to write about. I also love to read and try my hand at crossword puzzles. I love to garden and work in my yard when I can. And have recently taken up the sport of fishing with my husband. It is very relaxing and is also a good time to write.
  • Ace Jaunty
As a writer, all of my training comes from my Middle and High School English and History teachers. I learned at an early age how to become a writer that gives the audience what they desire to hear as well as showcasing the fire of my soul. This gift was molded from my many hours spent reading books, deep sessions of solitude as a child, a father who was a perfectionist in writing, looking into the dictionary everyday, and of course living life. I never truly looked at writing as something I would pursue as a career, but it has been the one constant in my life and writing along with traveling helps maintain my state of emotional balance. As a result, I publish my literary works focusing on true life experiences from my life and the lives of others. My most passionate part of writing is that no matter the genre of a piece of literature, the reader must be able to away take at least one piece of useful information.

  • ryeder
I have walked many roads during my time here. Some smooth, and some not. I have met many good people, and some I chosen not to remember. Though I have yet to find the true meaning of life, I have accomplished most of the goals I set. I have experienced many forms of adventure, entertainment and employment, but the one that is most important to me is that of working with youth. There have been many, and they have impacted how I see the world around me. It is a brighter world knowing them, and I have no regrets.
