I have been dusting with flour and rolling the pin since I was tall enough to reach the kitchen counter. As an adult, I have successfully put together baking events and fundraisers for churches, fairs and community non profits, and has also been a cookware and kitchen gadget tester for many years. I attempt to write my articles with the audience in mind, making the art of cooking and baking fun and easy for everyone. One of my primary aims is to provide authentic vintage and old fashion recipes with clear instructions. Many of the older vintage recipes are sketchy indeed, consisting of a list of ingredients without specific quantities, not necessarily in order, and at best a few notations on how to put the dish together. Those make me sigh a bit. Where necessary I adapt these recipes for today's use and also adjust some of them into a healthier alternative.
