The picture was taken in 1968 the day I reported aboard the USS Intrepid in Subic Bay, P.I. Law school, banking-trust, a family and more Navy followed. I'm a story teller and hobby writer. I have a particular interest in writing about the American Civil War and WWII; also my experiences in the Navy. I hope you enjoy what I have posted and I welcome feedback.

I'm a 15 year radio guy who got his start in community radio and now owns 2 online stations via Live365 one of which has deals with 14 Heavy Metal labels. I have a unique view on the Christian faith which is quite uncommon in Western culture and has gotten me in trouble in churches. I read books like "The God Who Smokes" and "Pagan Christianity" while listening to bands from Metal such as Avantasia, Hammerfall, Wig Wam, Pretty Maids, etc. I also have an interest in WWII and the culture of "The Greatest Generartion".

I was born in Aberdeen, WA. After graduation, I enrolled in Grays Harbor Junior College seeking a pre-physical therapy major. Upon graduating with my Associate's Degree from there, I enrolled as a health education major at the University of Washington (Seattle). Also worked as a student athletic trainer in their Athletic Program. Upon graduation in 1971, I stayed at the University doing some post-BA work until was hired in 1972 by the Department of Orthopaedics on a federal grant (via Dept. of H.E.W.) as a research athletic trainer to study athletic injuries at the high school level. I was assigned to Garfield HS in Seattle until 1975. From there I enrolled at Penn State University on a grad assistantship to do sports injury research. Upon graduation in 1976, I was hired at Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, IL as a health educator and their school's first head athletic trainer. Since retiring in 2005, I have been active in the state athletic trainers association as a Board member and now as its archivist. Other interests now in retirement include barbershop chorus and quartet singing; publishing cookbooks for charity; stamp collecting for US and Germany only; movie collection; WWII reading; and costume creations.

Born in Cuba, educated in Germany. After WWII became a teenage spy for the US in Soviet occupied East Germany. After 2 years of this clandestine activity, returned to my native country. Continued my education at the University of Havana. Prior to Castro's takeover, legally immigrated to the US arriving with limited resources. Employed by American Airlines and within four years was one of few selected for AA's new Data Processing organization to develop and implement the first commercial interactive communications system in the world, AA's famous SABRE system, the foundation of the current on-line systems. By the end of the sixties, was chosen to head up the SABRE organization in Tulsa, OK. Concurrently, worked for the FBI as an undercover operative exposing Castro inspired activities intended to harm our country. Recruited by the banking industry to recreate a similar computer environment as that used by the airlines, using my innovative and technically challenging concepts. Became a top bank executive at one of the 10 largest banks in the world. Subsequently retained by a Computer Services Co. to become their President & CEO. Retired early from this position to add medical expertise to my broad portfolio in order to become a 24/7 professional caregiver for my wife. She suffers from the severest form of Multiple Sclerosis, which has resulted in her becoming a quadriplegic. I have dedicated over 24 years to this complex job. While gaining my expertise in this intriguing field, I did consulting work for American Airlines and right after the first Gulf War was retained by the premier Saudi Arabian bank, Arab National Bank in Riyadh as their Head of Operations and Chief Technologist. I published my autobiography titled "Intrigue, Capitalism, Love - My True Story" and a second book titled "Caregiving-My Story-Your Guide." I am listed in Who's Who in the World, in America and in Science and Engineering.

More than twenty-five years as a security professional in the ATM and armored car industry as well as law enforcement gives me a unique prospective on life and human behavior. And being retired gives me the opportunity to offer off-beat and unusual arm chair visits to things others might not have the time to view. Interest in treasure comes from my father who dreamed of returning to find gold and treasures he once saw while on an island he was stationed on during WWII. Maybe I can one day help others to locate such treasures. RVing is to me just being a gypsy who meanders the country, hither and yon bringing stories to the forfront

Born in Brussels, Belgium, during WWII I grew up in South of France, in Saint Tropez and lived ther until I went to the army. Then I worked in Paris for a few years (in door to door sales) and after for the US Army. I met my wife to be in Normandy and we moved to the East Coast (upstate NY). we lived ther 7 years. I was deeply involved in the new car business as a factory sales and technical manager then managing Director of a large multiple new car dealership in Southern Connecticut. We had 4 children (all US citizen). we moved back to Europe. There I worked again in the automobile world for a while, in Marketing and Advertising. But my passion for selling with printed words remained the strongest and I became involved in helping big international companies selling more with strong mailing campaigns. I have done billions of mailings, from concept and creation to copywriting, to printing to mailing and to analyses results. This gave me the opportunity to travel all over the world and acquire direct marketing, marketing and sales experience second to none. We lived in many of those countries, from Europe to China to Africa. Now we are back in the US, on the West Coast and I am looking to sell my abilities to sell to businesses here, whatever small or large. And I have handled all the media (print, press, TV, radio, video and more). I grew up in an artistic environment as my father, who passed away a few years back, is a very well know artist in Europe with paintings in many museums in the world, including NY, London, Beyrouth, Munich, paris and many more.

  • Forrest Paine
Mr. Paine considers himself an educated, intelligent and somewhat literate southern gentleman. A child of the working class, he grew up in the early 1960's....an era of dramatic political, social and economic change in the US. His maternal grandfather's civil war memories...retold from his uncles who were present at places like Vicksburg, Shiloh, Chickamauga, Atlanta, even to the surrender of Johnston's army to Sherman at Bennett's Farm in NC....these vivid, mostly sad stories of the experiences of real ancestors, who just two generations earlier fought for their freedoms against the tyranny of the Federal government....these stories have left a legacy of distrust for the way power corrupts government. Growing up in the years "between the wars" of WWII and Vietnam, the years of "Mayberry RFD", "Bonanza" and "The Three Stooges"; all the way to "Sanford & Son" and "Love American Style"....he experienced first the political, social and racial turmoil of the 1960's and 1970's. An athlete, he found peace on the football and baseball fields in high school, resulting in a football scholarship to a major land-grant university from which he graduated cum-laude in accounting, but with an emphasis on history. CPA, Banker, Insurance Executive, Highway Contractor....now Dad and writer/speaker....Mr. Paine now lives in Georgia with his wife and 4 youngest children.
