Norma's Health and Wellness ConsultingMy passion is to help others obtain optimal health. I am a marathon runner (two marathons completed, 26.2 (full) miles and 13.1 mile (half) and am currently pursuing a certificate in Holistic Health. As a marathon runner and aspiring health consultant, I understand the importance of proper nutrition and exercise. However, I have found that many people do not understand the power of nutrition and how their life can be greatly affected by deficiencies in nutrients. My goal is to empower others with knowledge about how the body works and what it needs to function at its highest level. I think people want to live their best life but don't have the tools to achieve it. It is not about dieting but is more about eating nutrient dense foods and maintaining balance. The body needs a little bit of everything (nutrient dense food, daily exercise, rest). However, not all foods are created equal. I would like to educate others on foods that are healthier choices for the body. Food to the body is like an engine is to a vehicle. Without engine oil your car is not likely to start and without the proper nutrition and fluids our bodies will not function. Nutrition and exercise are not the only factors affecting our health. Our bodies are inundated with toxic chemicals in many products that we use on a daily basis. I have read many articles which have suggested that many ingredients in cosmetics are toxic to our bodies. Toxic overload has been linked to weakening the immune system which then opens the door to many illnesses and ailments. So lets get educated about what we are exposing ourselves to that may be detrimental to our health. Thank You and I wish you all great Health and Wellness! Norma's Health and Wellness Consulting

Jonathan NealHi, my name is Jonathan and I own and operate Live Free Fitness, a Personal Coaching business which runs out of Long Beach, CA. My goal is to bring whole life fitness and wellness to as many people as possible through one-on-one and small group training, boot camps for group fun, sound nutritional advice and awareness practices. I utilize the immense possibilities of the human body to accomplish this with my clients. To further this end I am making, free to the public, a thorough series of tutorials on a variety of bodyweight exercises. Yes, most everything I post will be doable without the use of any fancy, and expensive, equipment and can be done anywhere, including the privacy of your own home. The great news about this is that it keeps my operating costs to a minimum which allows me to give you the best results at the best price! So come join us... life is waiting! This is your life and your body, NOW is the time to use it! I have been dedicated to the pursuit of all things related to whole life wellness for many years now and have found that in every aspect of existence the key to success and healing is getting at the root of whatever issues we might face. According to Gautama Buddha, "The mind is everything. What you think you become." I agree in full with this sentiment. That is not to say that if I really want to be a successful musician or to be able to fly that it will happen. This idea refers to the very core of us, not our physical manifestations. Sun and rain will come but it is the seeds that we sow that make the difference in our peace of mind. Be sure that you are sowing good seeds and no matter the weather you will be assured, at the very least, the satisfaction of having done right by yourself. If you have never purposely endeavored to do good you will never be able to understand the intrinsic value and what true joy is. Seek to discover yourself because "The only real failure in life is not to be true to the best one knows." Live

Barbara Ford-LattyAs a writer, nurse, educator, integrative health consultant and curious traveler, I have been involved with a natural, holistic lifestyle for over 35 years. It all began with a lively family and organic farm filled with dogs, horses, pigs, chickens, children, herbs, flowers and laughter. Passionately devoted to the well-being of the individual and the collective, I am an advocate of a holistic approach to wellness. In the search to understand the mysteries of life, I have written articles for a variety of magazines on travel, native healing, natural health and education, along with several newsletters and web site copy. A lifelong learner and an enthusiastic reader, writer and world traveler, my life-paths have led me to amazing experiences in shamanistic healing, Tai Chi and energy work, and herbalism. Around 2002, I decided to try my hand at running a bed and breakfast on the Maine coast, applying my environmental and organic philosophies to transform it into an eco-friendly inn. Loving the coast, making mouth-watering breakfasts and meeting folks from all over the world, life was good until family illness caused a change of plan, and a return to nursing education. Currently a practicing RN, nursing educator and integrative health consultant, I am completing my thesis on natural health towards an MA in Holistic Wellness, and am working toward Healing Touch Practitioner certification. No longer living on the coast or on a farm, but in the Blue Ridge Mountains, my herb gardens are smaller, but still fragrant and productive. I am a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the American Holistic Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and the Herb Society of America.
