Laura Cushing writes short stories, poems, and non-fiction articles. She has worked as a music correspondent for a national social media network, and as a social media consultant for bands from indie to majorly signed. Her short fiction, articles, and poetry have appeared in literary magazines, zines, and of course online. She is an avid player of board and card games, including Scabble, mahjong, Canasta; and roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder. She can also be found gaming on her wii or reading books on her Kindle Fire - and hunting Geocaches throughout her state.

A Chicago native, Laura now lives in a small Wisconsin city with her husband, a teen-aged son, one dog, and three cats. In her free time Laura enjoys geocaching, reading, and playing Wii.

I'm just an average middle class american baby boomer female looking to try my hand at creative writing to see if there is a possiblity to escape the every day drudgery of 9 to 5. I was born in Hong Kong. I moved to the United States when I was five. I love to travel, mainly to have an visual explosion of mind blowing awesomeness. I also have a passion for gadgets(iphone,Hackintosh DM9), video games (Wii,DS,PS3) and all sorts of Japanese Animation.

I grew up a military brat, graduated high school in 2002, college in 2006, have been teaching English since graduating college, coaching junior high level football since 2007 and basketball beginning with the 2011 season. Lastly, and most importantly, I've been married to my beautiful wife, who I met in college in 2003, since July 2008. I love spending time with my family and friends, attending church, playing sports, specifically basketball, cheering on the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Cowboys and Colorado Rockies (all products of where I lived being a military brat), getting involved with fantasy football and basketball, playing games on Wii, enjoying a good film, occassionally reading an interesting book, and attempting to be a decent human being. Finally, I usually try to be funny (key word "try"), and have a sarcastic personality. ;)

I am a 23 year old lover of history and ancient literature - I have been writing poetry and stories for a number of years, and have only just found my way into doing things online - at the moment I am keen Nintendo gamer, having a variety of consoles and games (N64, PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox360) - I believe that the pen is mightier than the sword, and my dream is to be able to publish a list of my works - and help design games for Nintendo. I have studied C++ for a short time, and am proficient with Word, Excel and MSPaint. I have an ongoing youtube channel which has a large number of subscribers - I post videos of games and anime. I have training in A+, Network+, Server+, and inet+. i have multiple courses in Microsoft products, and i am attending the University of Phoenix for a degree in programming.
