I have been a writer and editor for 20 years. I have published a book on Addictions and have edited many books; including a book written about my life. Many of them would be considered "inspirational."

I am a survivor of extreme child abuse in all its ugly form. Sexual, emotional and physical abuse. Fortunately, I did not allow it to destroy me. I became that much stronger. I have three grown children and four beautiful grandchildren who bring sunshine to the darkest of days! I do not have a significant other and at 44 I m still at hot mama! LOL I hold a minister s license and help others who have suffered through abuse and addictions. I love to read books on all subjects, however, for entertainment I love Stephen King and Dean Koontz. I enjoy swimming and fishing which is a good thing since I live in Florida. I have been a receptionist, waitress and just about everything in-between. A jack of all trades and a master of none. ha ha. I do have a wonderful sense of humor and a great imagination, I think that helped save my sanity during my years of TORTURE. No other way to put it...I enjoy life and I look forward to writing which is something I have always wanted to do!

I am a licensed addictions counselor and musician who has spent the last 17 years counseling patients and writing and recording music. I have combined these two passions to produce a series of relaxation albums and create a place where people can come and gain access to guided relaxations and meditation music. Through my work, I have come to understand the many problems, physical, emotional and spiritual that are caused by stress and anxiety overload. It feels good to reach a deep state of calm and practicing this type of relaxation on a regular basis helps to promote overall emotional health and balance. Each of the albums contain a mix of guided relaxations, visualizations, the sound of moving water and original music. They have been shown to be effective in clinical settings.

I am a freelance writer about many topics, some including health and addictions, and I am currently attending college for a degree in Human Services and also Addictions Counseling. I love to do research and learn new ways to handle health issues through life. I am also into martial arts, currently a student in taekwondo. I live in New Jersey, and enjoy doing a vast amount of things.

If there is one thing I have learned in my years as a recovery coach, it is this: I cannot fix you; I cannot save you! I can, however, give you information, guide you and make suggestions. When I talk about recovery from addictions, I mean addictive thought patterns that create addictive feelings which produce addictive behaviors. When you become aware of your thought process, you can learn how to change it to get different results. And what you recover is your SELF - your self-esteem, self-worth, self-love, self-reliance and self-confidence, etc. If that sounds like something you want to pursue, then read my column regularly and apply the information. I am a single mother of an 11 year old son and a 17 year old daughter. My daughter has been dealing with serious behavior problems and drug and alcohol addictions for the past several years and it has taken its toll on my small family.

I am a Licenced Bachelors Level Social Worker with a minor in Psychology. Presently I work as a direct Care Worker in a Group Home. I also work as a part time Cahier for QD a local convienence store chain. I have done many do it yourself activities including Filing a civil suit, bankruptcy, and basic home repairs/ upgrades. I am looking to find a way to go back to College for a Masters in Counseling with a specialization in Addiction. I spend most of my time creating ways to educate non-users about drug addiction, so that addicts are understood and not thrown away.
