I am 53years old with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing(BCur), several cerificates in administration and HR, as well as licenced and has teh qualification needed to practice as a Real Estate Professional. (NQF$ AND 5).I give reading lessons and business communication classes to foreighners in our vicinity as we had a great influx of Chinese,Somalis,Nigerians and other from mostly the African continent. I also tutor children with disabilities in better reading, spelling and creative writing after school. I have been a private nurse for over 25 years. My patients are mostly suffering from multiple scleroses, cancer, Alzheimers, dementia and amputees. I am also a practicing real estate agent, but have taken a leave of absence now that the market is extremely slow. I am using the time of to write a book on how to be the best agent you cn be, focusing on the practical stuff you need to do in order to keep both buyers and sellers happy, improve your business and reputation as a professional and to be thus more succesfull in the profession. There is very little out there in the market for a new agent starting up and the NQF4 and 5 only focus on the management of the business and not on how you get your business, how to advertise, etc. I am a mother of two adult children and a wife to a husband suffering from bipolar syndrome. I am well read, loves all kind of music, practice alternative health practices and am interested in the esoteric.Ilike to give my opinion and write informative articles for consumers on my blog reagrading rights and recourse, regulations, how to survive the crunch, saving, etc.

I am a freelance, published writer. I've written human interest, humor and been a crime reporter. I'm very personable and honest. I live at home with my parents right now because my father has alzheimers. I had breast cancer in 2005. My mother died from breast cancer in 1974 so I had a DNA test to see if I had the breast cancer gene but I don't. I have one son (31 y.o.) & 2 grandchildren. My son, grandson & granddaughter just had birthdays. I had a wreck last April & totalled my car & now the people who hit me are trying to sue me. I lived in the NC mountains for 12 years but with the breast cancer & dad's alzheimers, I thought it best to be in the Charlotte area (and most of my family live here). I have 2 brothers & 2 sisters. I work as a caregiver for a blind/partially deaf man & I also do the financials for my church. I've never written for anything on line.

Help support the cause! My book, Julita's Sands: A Memoir is available on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this poignant memoir is going to aid family caregivers with loved ones suffering from Alzheimer's and dementias. An author, mother, grandmother, wife, and lover of life! I was born in Manhattan, New York, of Cuban parents. I grew up in Cedar Grove, New Jersey and moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a B.A. in Biology and Chemistry. I am passionate about health, so I maintain an healthy lifestyle. I love to travel! My favorite places are Egypt, Sicily, and Brazil. I am partial to animals, especially dogs and horses. I took on the role of caregiver for my Mom, who suffered from Alzheimers. It was a very rewarding experience for me. In 2008, when the economy took a nosedive, I was let go from my job. This was the catalyst that set events into motion. I went on to write a memoir about my mother's battle with ALzheimer's/dementia. Julita's Sands: A Memoir was published in April 2010. I currently live on the east coast of Florida, with my husband and our dog. I never could handle the cold weather (must be the Cuban blood in me!) so I stayed in Florida. I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, the beach, reading, running, animals, playing with my granddaughter, and trying different foods from around the world. I am a member of The International Women's Writing Guild, an Alzheimer's Advocate with the Alzheimer's Association, and I have done volunteer work for Leeza's Place.

The passions in my life include education, the arts, home remodeling, woodworking and travel. Due to my eclectic plethora of interests, writing and photography have become two extraordinary outlets of expression. I have found extreme pleasure in both. Remodeling, refurbishing, repurposing and upcycling have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father built our home when I was small along with owning a fiberglass fabrication business. I naturally learned how to use woodworking tools at a very young age. Artistically, I have worked with my hands since I was a toddler. My college education afforded me to expand my interest in accounting and art. My two passions merged in the educational field where I chose to become a teacher. Currently I am a freelance writing and photographer after working in the public school system as both a teacher and a principal. Artistically, I enjoy graphic design, photo manipulation, website creation, photography, sculpture and ceramics. I have my own studio and spend as much time creating as I do writing. My writing experience is extensive in the field of education, art and craft how to's, graphic design, photography, wine making, sculpture, fiberglass and travel.
