I come from a long line of southern cooks. I love to eat and cook, I also love music. I have done freelance writing for community and regional publications on special interest, food and lifestyle topics, and I possess a degree in journalism. I live in the fun, funky, laid back city of Austin, TX, where I reside with my cranky white cat. I enjoy live music, happy hours, Tex Mex and Asian food, travel, photography and more.
  • Tyler Andersen
I am Tyler Andersen, a journalist, radio personality, bibliophile, political commentator, and married father of one living in Idaho. My passion is the art of communication, with specialties in rhetorical studies, history of philosophy, and early Mormon history. I have a B.S. in Communications with a minor in Philosophy from Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am completing an M.A. in Rhetorical Studies from Idaho State University. When I'm not writing or researching, I love spending time with my family, traveling, eating Asian food (all kinds), enhancing my skills as a hot dog connoisseur, and prowling used book stores.
  • Janay Combris
You may call Janay an oddity, intellectual, or nerd. Hailing from New York City, this soft spoken young lady is a recent B.A. graduate with major in visual art and minor in East Asian Studies. She enjoys working in most media, mainly drawing, painting, and sculpture. Right now, she would like to work in Japan and make art. Janay considers herself an intellectual and enjoys research. She also enjoys quiet time reading, using the computer, and contemplating different philosophies and aspects of life. She is also a hopeless romantic. As you can see, Janay is a bit different. She won't conform to society and I will not follow the masses.
  • Zach Feinberg

  • Clarice K.
Born and bred on a lovely tropical Asian island called Singapore. I'm especially proud of the culinary adventures Singapore offers to the world, and of its peoples' ability to draw a mix of surprise, awe, and many times confusion from others with their unique accent. Took a little hiatus when I was 19 to pursue my love for psychology (let me reveal that I've an abnormally strong inclination for abnormal behaviour) in Toronto, Canada. Frost bitten - but I had a ball of a time. I am now back on this sunny island and moving on to a different phase in my life. These days, I am busy juggling my time between learning to adapt to (or sometimes rise above) the whims and fancies of society - specifically the organisms that live within it - and grooming myself to become a better woman to my family and my man.
  • Kathrine Ayers
Kathrine is an American writer and designer living in Manila and New York. She has written on a variety of topics and has been published in numerous Asian magazines and travel blogs. Her passions lie in travel, food, healthy living, and the arts.
  • Keith Proctor
Keith is a Father, Husband, and Osteopathic Medical Student in Missouri. He holds many decidedly unattractive interests with genetic diseases, Chinese food, and showing off pictures of his super cute son currently at the forefront. He won't bore you with his analysis of Asian cuisine. He'll just eat way too much of it. But seriously, my son is adorable. He has to be. He's almost two, he looks just like me, and I'm obscenely adorable.

  • Gian Erguiza
Writer. Musician. Lover. Fighter. I use to run an online magazine (frantikmag.com) as editor in chief. I primarily wrote articles based on a wide range of topics including product reviews, cycling, cancer, automotive, sex tips, movie reviews, animals, charities, cd reviews, photography, technology, fashion, modeling and many more. I also did all interviews for the site. On the side, I do PR work for a few local bands and have gotten write-ups in both print and online magazines and sites such as Blabbermouth.net, Asian Journal, Bravewords.com, Metal Underground, Dangerdog.com and more. I'm a self-taught writer that shoots from the hip with wax poetry always in mind. With enough info and research, there is literally nothing that I cannot write about. My passion for writing vastly outnumbers my passion for everything else. I'm a father to a 3 year-old boy and husband of 11 years. I take my writing seriously and believe that writing should be an art form rather than a task or hobby. I am currently going to school for certification in PR and Marketing and plan on having a career in the entertainment industry or music industry. I also love photography and do photography work on the side as well for DJ's, bands and models. I can play a number of instruments and can write songs in my sleep. I'm deeply interested in topics within music, technology, current events, celebrity, events and a whole lot more. I am your writer. I am the writer you've been looking for. You know when they said you're born with it? Well, in no bragging way or cocky way, I was born to write.

  • Zindagi
Goodness, where do I start? I like just about every subject. I maintain an active interest in culture, politics, international affairs, Bollywood, cooking, animals, religion, science, academia, just about everything. I can read and write in both French and English, and I have often been told that I have a more Asian perspective than an American one. I suppose this makes me strange, but what would the world be without strange folks to make it interesting?

  • John Howe
After winning an essay competition in junior school the writing bug got to me, the bug is still eating away at my innards. I spent 10 years as a qualified nurse in Britain’s National Health Service then 20 years as a university lecturer, where writing for publication was de rigueur. I regularly contributed articles on my clinical and academic specialities of cardiology and human sexuality/sexual health, to a variety of nursing journals in the UK. I now live and work in Thailand and have written extensively on Thailand and its attractions and customs. I am a contributing editor for Thailand Health and Beauty Directory and Thailand Trade and Tourism Directory amongst a host of other publications. Since arriving in Thailand I have found an enjoyable niche as a food, spa, restaurant and hotel reviewer. I am a regular contributor to Asian lifestyle magazines: Expatweekend Thailand, Hua Hin Weekend, Expatweekend Singapore and have a monthly men's health column in Out in Thailand magazine. I am an 'honorary editor' to the BNH Hospital in Bangkok. My newspaper , magazine and ezine articles have been published in the UK, the USA, Ireland, Thailand, Singapore.
  • Eric W. Chan
For many years a boring child, Eric W Chan now resigns to doing everything he vowed to never do: skydiving, boxing, and writing. His vow to become a stereotypical Asian-American person failed miserably, as his inability to do advanced calculus, cook Chinese food, and learn wushu meant he couldn't be an engineer, a resturant owner, or Jackie Chan. Thus, he found his calling doing the only thing he couldn't suck too much at: being a Yahoo! Contributor.
