  • T. SHEPHERD
I live in a rural town in Virginia with my husband of 25 years & my son who will graduate high school this year. I love birds and have several as pets. I feed wild birds year round and enjoy shooting them with my camera. My Beagles, a 2 year old brother and sister duo, are current loves' of my life. In our house they are little people not, well you know, dogs! Books are my addiction. Mysteries are my favorite but I enjoy reading about everything as I believe knowledge is power. I cannot go into a bookstore and come out empty handed. I've tried and it's not possible! I currently work within the court system and I love my job. I my own business for many years in which I installed wallpaper and ceramic tile. I also painted and I actually enjoy refinishing woodwork. I don't like winter or being cold but I love spring and summer. My favorite place to be is Salter Path, NC and all of the surrounding coastal towns. I hope to one day move to the area. I would love to volunteer at the local aquarium and work with the sea turtle rescue program, fish as much as possible and of course sit on the beach and read!

  • Cindy Pierce
Cindy Pierce is a part time freelance writer with a deep love for nature. Her love of nature includes, and often transcends, the scientific aspects of life on this rich earth. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Cindy is a city girl with a country heart. Recently entering her 5th decade of life, she continues her studies in geology and horticulture. However Cindy believes experience is her greatest teacher, as it truly is with all of us. Since the age of 14, Cindy adapted, as most of us do, to working for a living in the corporate world. Even so, the call of nature never left her heart. She plants an organic vegetable garden on her suburban lot every year, feeds the wild birds daily, has two cats, an elderly dog and tropical fish as pets, and enjoys exploring new locales and terrain. In addition to her love of nature, Cindy is fiercly loyal to her friends and family. Although she has no children, she considers her nieces, nephews and the children and grandchildren of her friends as her own. It is her goal as a writer to share stories and information that will not only entertain her readers, but will enlighten them to the divine kinship we have to each other and to all living things.
