We feel it is important to start saving and learning about finances when you are young. We hope students of today will follow us and gain insight on how to stay out of debt and save for their future.

As a full time student and mom, and a part time everything else, my goal is to maintain a balanced and fun life, while keeping our budget on track.

I am a wife and mother of three amazing daughters. I am also a student of interior design, history and art. After my husband and children, these are my passions. I am an east coast girl through and through but currently live in southern California. Growing up in Vermont gave me a real appreciation for history and taught me the importance of classic design that stands the test of time. Living in southern California for the last nine years has exposed me to so many different styles of art, design and creativity. I can now combine my love for and knowledge of history and my east coast sensiblities with a new found love and skill for thinking outside the box. I love to be creative. I have always had to be frugal and find budget friendly ways to make my home look and feel the way I want it to. It has definitely taught me where and how to find the best buys. My classes in interior design and art have been invaluable in giving me the proper skills to hone my talent for seeing not what something is, but what it can be. My love of flea market hunting was instilled in me at a very young age when my parents would take me (and my twelve other siblings) with them to yard sales and flea markets all over southern Vermont to find great furniture pieces that were one-of-a kind and they would then re-finish and/or repurpose them. Every piece of furniture in our fourteen room, late 1890s, Queen Anne Victorian had a story to tell. I thank my parents for fostering that passion in me.
