I was born in a small Jersey town outside of New York City. I moved to North Carolina, where I currently reside with my three amazing children, to attend Elon University. I have a BA in English and Philosophy and an MBA in Business Administration. I love philosophy, good books, live music, and nature. I freelance write and edit and i also write for fun. My hobbies include oil/acrylic painting, camping, canoeing, kayaking, chess, logic puzzles, philosophizing, and reading. I also love professional sports such as football, hockey and baseball. Bex Barker is a professed lover of all things retail who has learned many financial lessons the hard way. Her newfound diet of cash only sometimes clashes with her paycheck from teaching English at a small private high school, and when this happens, Bex has to turn to gossip magazines for entertainment and fashion lust. Bex holds an MA in English Literature from Winthrop University where she met her goofy but lovable husband Steve. Currently the two can be found in their new lakefront rental home where they are often spotted swimming, canoeing, and enjoying life.

Currently living in Florida, I was born and lived most of my life in central Maine.
