A native of Colorado, I came out to New Jersey to study cartooning. After a brief stint as a graphic artist I had a nice run as a comic book store owner (say 'yeah!' Middle Earth!) and another as the owner and manager of a MotoPhoto franchise. Now, I work two jobs to cover the nut. Such is the economy, and it's good to be working. For years, everyone tells me I should be writing. So I'm writing. I hope all those folks are reading!

  • Ron Coleman
I started freelance cartooning as a teenager and sold my first magazine cartoon while in the seventh grade. Since that time I have been published in hundreds of publications. The cartooning led to writing and although my main focus is still on cartooning I still can't resist the impulse to write if a topic is of interest to me. Both cartooning and writing have been sideline activities for me. My day jobs were working with the movie studios in publicity, advertising and finance. Studios I worked for were Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Orion Pictures and Walt Disney. I'm now retired and living in Oakridge, Oregon. My cartoons can be viewed on my website: http://www.colemantoons.com

  • Thommy Kodenkandath
Welcome to Drawn Opinions...my Experiments in Black and White. While young, I enjoyed sketching people around me. At school, I was notorious for making cartoons of my teachers. One of them even hoped that I would end up "only" as a cartoonist. Sure, I have been a cartoonist for a long time. Over 500 have appeared in print and I currently contribute to India-New England (MA), Pathram (NY) & Malayalam News (UAE) . Professionally I am a Scientist involved in advancing materials for enabling energy technologies. I earned my Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology. I am a recipient of the UNESCO Fellowship for Young Scientists and of Imperial College, London. I have authored over 75 scientific papers and hold 12 patents. I believe cartooning keeps me creative to be innovative in my relentless pursuit of excellence in R&D. Kerala Center (NY) honored me for my "Extraordinary combination of talents as an Outstanding Scientist and Gifted Cartoonist". I am a founding member of Kerala Cartoonist Academy and recently elected to Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. Born in Trissur (Kerala) I live with my wife, Rekha and daughters in Highlands Ranch, CO (Tel. 303-683-1102). I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did drawing them.
