I am native of Spartanburg, SC now living in Charlotte, NC with my daughter. I am in my 30's and loving it! I have been writing since I was a kid in elementary school! I have my own HIV/AIDS outreach group called Killjoy. I enjoy educating adults and children about their bodies, spirit, and self worth. I was a member of the Center of Disease Control for HIV Community Planning. I am also a certified speaker for HIV/AIDS.I have an article about my community group in Klazzy magazine (2006). I also enjoy writing short stories and have a passion for political science.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Psychology from Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY. I have worked in Infectious Disease and public health for four years now at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. I also love food, and know the restaurants of New York like the back of my hand. I have a wide range of interests; I'm an avid reader, love movies, love food, and I am earning a Master's in Public Health. My expertise is in Infectious Disease research and antibiotic resistance but I also am very well read and many people come to me on advice on what movies to see, books to read, and where to eat in New York or Seattle, the cities I am most familiar with.

Her experience includes diets for Celiac disease, casein allergy, lactose intolerance, hyperactivity, Autism, ADHD and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I live in the Northern VA area with my husband,daughter and 3 dogs. I have also had Type 1 Diabetes for 26 years now since I was a child. I use an insulin pump and have been doing so for the past 3 years which really helps in managing my diabetes.
