Most of my education is in the life sciences, including Zoology and Genetics. I do, however, have a passion for all of the sciences, with Geology and Statistics thrown in for good measure. I graduated Nursing school and have been an RN since 1991. My specialty areas were Geriatrics and Oncology. I also worked as a corporate nurse, conducted interviews, hired nursing personnel, taught CNA classes, and conducted staff in-services for health and safety. One of my most heartfelt passions is wildlife biology and conservation. I have successfully raised orphaned baby beavers, cottontail rabbits and various species of wild birds for release back into their natural habitat when possible. I love working with reptiles, keeping and breeding Chameleons (Veiled and Mellers), Desert Horned Lizards, and Bearded Dragons. When I have the time I build stained glass lamp shades, wedding and other special occasion cakes, and have been successful making and selling bridal bouquets and wedding arrangements and sets. I now work from home while studying business and marketing. Freelance writing is a wonderful outlet for my varied interests, and I have become proficient in SEO, though keeping up with the ever changing theories is a challenge. My story is a portrait of miracles. In 1987 I was bitten by a rabid Raccoon. I was told that I was the first person to survive Rabies since the 1800's. On June 1, 2009 I began treatment for Pancreatic Cancer. Once that was behind us my husband was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Cancer and began treatments on June 1, 2010. His is also a success story, with his last two PET scans being completely clear.

I am but a humble Secular Humanist and biology student, wandering his way through the world making the best decisions he can. Having met with the disastrous fate of growing out of my region's traditional world view, I seek to expand my horizons, scour the world for new insights into life, and play some Dungeons & Dragons. Yes, it is surprising to meet an introverted nerd on the internet, but I aim to represent that which is already thoroughly represented on almost every website with any kind of following. I hope to promote scientific knowledge and understanding with every individual across the world, and eliminate ignorance of modern advancements.

I am currently working on a mural on one of the walls in my house, which consists of a castle over looking a river with Dragons and South of the river there are fairies, and it is a work in progress. I am adding some unicorns in as well. This section of the wall is my "Fantasy" wall. I alson did an "In Memeory Of" apace as well. I've also done various Diney themed murals.
