Christy ChristoffersenChristy Christoffersen is a Native American from Oklahoma living in England. A life-time equestrian, beauty and pet enthusiast, she brought her horse, Nikki, with her to live her dream of studying classical dressage. In addition to working with her dressage trainer on fitness and riding, she is always writing, testing the latest beauty and hair products and training her Jack Russell, PJ. Cara WieserI began my riding career at the age of five and fell in love with horses immediately. I competed twice in the North American Young Rider Championships (eventing) and in the Morgan Horse World Championships (dressage). I now ride and train in Utah.
Jennifer LandrethTo quote a line from one of my favorite John Hughes movies (and also date myself) Life moves pretty fast. If you don t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. That s why I love to travel and now that my kids are almost grown, my husband and I go to Mexico and the Caribbean as much as possible. When we are not traveling, my husbands runs his roofing company, 5 Star Roofing, and I am lucky enough to take care of our home, our 16-year old daughter, two Yorkies and two cats. I also get to spend lots of time with my two older girls, who are on their own now, my son-in-law and my 2-year old grandaughter. I ll also try about anything once. I love to ride horses and I take lessons for dressage and jumping. I do yoga, pilates, running and weights. My husband and I hunt and wild boar hunting is our favorite. Hunting is a legacy that needs to be taught and handed down and I love to hunt with my Dad on his land. When we travel we snorkel and are taking scuba lessons. I also get to catch up on my reading, which I can never get enough of. I think that homemaking is becoming a lost art and I love to cook, bake, decorate, garden and scrapbook. My family knows that I am an organization freak. My next favorite thing is to write about all the things I love doing, the places I have been and the experiences I have had in life that have shaped who I am today.

Liane EhrichI am a freelance writer. I live on top of a mountain in Southeastern Arizona with my husband and five dogs. I spent years working within the equine industry, starting at local barns before moving on to big national barns and even a brief stay starting colts at Churchill Downs. I started my own dressage barn in 1995 and ran it until I worked my way up to hospital director at a veterinary hospital, when I had to choose one or the other. I chose veterinary medicine. Now, I mountain bike, trail run and compete in triathlons. I own five dogs, and have decided to start a new life as a freelance writer. My husband and I have traveled throughout the desert southwest to events, and have had a lot of fun along the way. I am still very active in the veterinary community.
Shannon JonesAbout me.... hmm. Well, I have recently entered the "Next Phase" of my life. I retired a few years ago from the family business after about 18 years to spend more time with my kids. I am now a high school teacher. My husband and I are looking forward to sitting in rocking chairs and watching the sun set (he is NOT a morning person - so sunrises are out!) when we are old, so we built a house with a wraparound porch. I have discovered I really enjoy being creative. It is crazy what you find out about yourself when you step off the 50 or 60 hour a week work wheel and spend weeks at a time in a motorhome and cleaning horse stalls. I love baking, cooking, knitting - I make a killer scarf! And sewing - I have even sold a handbag or too. And writing. Those life experiences make great research for plot lines. I WILL one day take cooking classes in Tuscany and fox hunt in Ireland (Amy daughter still has not forgiven me for not having time to do that the last time we were there. She didn't understand I had to get back to work to pay for the trip and the horse we got while we were there!) and wonder aimlessly through the streets of Paris. I also will find my perfect Dressage horse who will really teach me to ride so I can get a USDF gold medal - though I would settle for a bronze. Lastly, people who really know me understand I am shy and still rather insecure, not a snob (those two things are often confused) and that my friends are my family, too. I will do anything in my power to help them - from meals if you are sick (ask about my pot roast!) to a shoulder to cry on or the wine to drink. If you can get past the defenses, you are in for life. There is always room for one more plate on the table, one more bed to sleep in, and the iced tea is always ready.

Janell LoredoI am a California college student who loves writing about my passions. I love riding horses, music, health and fitness, cycling, yoga, swimming, being a vegan, English literature, rock-climbing, and doing just about anything active! I am a person with musical/artistic mind, scientific understanding mixed with artistic appreciation, and optimistic approach to life. I'm a deep thinker, and observant/thoughtful person and writer. I LOVE LEARNING new things. I love school and am working towards a future in pediatric nursing and classical music performance. I'm highly concerned with health and fitness. I have always been fascinated with the way the health of the body improves all other areas of daily and academic life. Currently I am an avid road/mountain biker, kickboxing student, aerobics teacher-in-training, regular gym member, English/Dressage Equestrian, yoga student, cyclist, and gluten-free vegan. I am also a musician ;) I have played piano for a total of 13 years, violin for 5, and sung my whole life. I have a passion for classical voice and plan to pursue a career in vocal performance and eventually a doctorate in music education. What better way to share my gift than by giving the gift of music to young children through music education. Growing up with three other siblings who also play piano, sing, and play various instruments has been the chief inspiration for my love of music. Music is a deeply fulfilling art form. As a Christian, music and singing become more that art to me. My musical abilities give me a unique and gentle way to touch others spiritually through ministry. I have also been blessed with opportunities to participation in numerous honor choirs, state choirs, solo/ensemble festivals, and competitions. Overall, I seek to glorify God through the gifts he has given me in all areas of my life! I love having fun, learning, and being myself! Life is a beautiful gift :) Be thankful! God bless Peace
Annette WillsonI have worked as a Physiotherapist for 25 years; I have a Masters degree in Physiotherapy and am a Pilates Trainer. I am also a competitor and Instructor. I have been a rider all my life developing my talent through pony club and open competition. I won the individual state championships in eventing in South Australia 5 times in a row on 5 different horses all trained from racing to competition level by me. I competed at the national championships as a junior and as senior for the state of South Australia. I received my "A" certificate in Pony Club at the age of 21. This certificate has only been awarded to 4 riders in South Australia. I won the state dressage championships 3 times in a row. Moving into senior open competition required more money and more support. I managed to attend university for 4 years, pass, get a job and continue to compete at a moderate level and gained a spot on the Olympic training squad. I remained on this squad for 3 years until my top horse dropped dead from colic. I struggled with severe back pain having ruptured 2 discs in my lower back and a lack of time and funds. This was a devastating time for me. I bought trained and sold a few horses but didn't get back to high level competition again. I still ride and compete at a lower level, this because it is my passion. My life has settled into work, family and horses. I have my own Physiotherapy practice, I teach Pilates in my work and I teach it to horse riders. I have 3 three children the youngest disabled. I buy young thoroughbreds off the track and re train them into competition horses. I also train race horses. The writing of the book my book "Applied Posture Riding" developed over a few years due to my own experience and due to the demand by riders asking the questions, "How do you stay so still in the saddle especially at the sit trot?" I was asked this almost at every outing. I knew I could teach riders to ride well. I hope you are one of them.
