Bryan ClarkeI am a 5th generation Floridian born and raised in Tampa, FL. Growing up on Tampa Bay nurtured a devout love of all things natural and outdoors, most notably backpacking, kayaking, and fishing. I studied Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida in addition to meeting my incredible wife. We were married in 2006 when I went on to study veterinary medicine, also at UF. My wife and I now live in Jacksonville, FL and enjoy all the excitement of renovating our first home (a brick bungalow circa 1926) and preparing for the arrival of our son.

James P McMahonJim McMahon started Sweetwater LLC (www.cleanairpurewater.com) in September 2002 after an extensive search for a business that he could operate from his home in southern Utah. Jim has worked in the environmental field since 1974 when he launched one of the first recycling collection programs in the country in Seattle. He worked in recycling until 1987 when he took a one year sabbatical in the French West Indies. Upon his return to the states, he moved to Denver where he began working as a freelance writer and sought a way to work with rivers. In 1995 he got a chance to manage The Nature Conservancy’s Mackinaw River Project in Illinois. Then, in January 1999, he was able to return to the West when he accepted a position with Grand Canyon Trust, working on the Virgin River in southwest Utah. Jim has authored an essay reflecting on the development of recycling entitled ‘Closing The Loop’ in the book The Next West, published by Island Press in 1997. While living in Denver he wrote policy papers and opinion editorials on western land use issues as a senior fellow for Independence Institute, a non-profit think tank. He has also published numerous articles, editorials, and short fiction. Jim holds a BS in Ecology from the University of Illinois, coursework toward an MA in Deep Ecology from Naropa Institute in Boulder, CO and has extensive training in river ecology. He studied the ancient energy healing methods of the Quechua Indians of Peru with the Four Winds Society located in Park City. Someone once said that Jim has a passion for learning and is always up to something. He has a son, Emrys, and a daughter, Jacqueline. He works from his log home overlooking a headwaters stream in the mountains of southern Utah. ‘Life doesn’t get any better than this….‘
Kyle TurnerI am an avid outdoors person that enjoys living and discovering new ways to live sustainably. Currently I am a stay-at-home parent. I focus the majority of my attention on parenting and co-managing our families small Pointer and Spinoni breeding kennel where we also train our dogs for upland bird hunting retrieving and tracking. I have an educational background in Forest ecology, wildlife and fisheries conservation. My past work experience has included work as carpenter, ecological research and environmental consulting focusing on the areas of geology and brownfield redevelopment. David VernonI was born and raised in New York City. As an active Boy Scout, I attended two national jamborees, hiked the trail ten days at Philmont Scout Ranch, and spent four weeks as a lone Scout at Ten Mile River, all before my fifteenth birthday. I graduated Christopher Columbus High School with a National Merit Letter of Merit and a Regents Diploma, earned a BS in Forestry form Penn State, drove myself to California to join my family and earn an MA in Botany at Call State LA, drove myself to Indiana where I earned an MS in math and a PhD in ecology at Indiana State, drove to Cleveland where I worked as a tech writer and Unix SysAdmin, then drove to Tucosn AZ, where I still live, for an Army contract job. After nine years of that job, I went to work for IBM on contract for five years, then as a regular for another five. I know do freelance work in Tucson, as a management consultant. I have over 300 college credits, some in almost every subject. I have visited 43 of the 50 states and lived at length in six. I can figure out and explain anything, in words, numbers or pictures, because I am a certified genius with the test scores to prove it. My High School nickname was "The Professor." My friends find it quicker to ask me questions than to look things up - I admit it when I do not know something, but that is not very often. I have worked at 41 different jobs, so far, and am looking for another. I hope you like what I write here.
