I have been an avid reader and writer for as long as I can remember, I enjoy researching the more obscure tidbits of this wide world we all live in. I have studied world religions and esoteric practices that I have found fascinating and I have a deep love of travel.

I consider myself a professional, if I were pressed to bestow upon myself a title that accurately reflects my stature in this, the dynamic, everchanging first world, that title would be : 'Opinionated Layman' Ask me a question, get an answer.... sometimes informed by experience, often not. I have lived, loved and lost all over this mighty continent, finally, broken; I settled here on the west coast, to lick my wounds and start anew. My primary interest in the esoteric gave way to an interest in the ordinary, and a zest for life, and living. I attended 15 public schools before I entered high school, went bald at 25, got my driver's licence at 34, became a father at 36, became a foster parent at 38, and I unabashedly love cigars, red meat, and mild conflict. I'm a U.S. citizen living in Canada.

Visualize a pile of expired passports: the current issue is half-full of visas/stamps and it's less than a year old. Travel often? I live in Guatemala, where the exotic is just another word for a day of the week. The unusual, the esoteric and the mysterious are the food and drink of my daily existence.
