I'm pretty much the the amalgamation of explosions and overwhelming majesty. If that doesn't make sense then that's probably because I'm drunk. Tomorrow, once I sober up, I'll change this to sound a lot more generic and welcoming.

I was born in Miami to a Colombian woman and an Anglo man. Ever since then, my free spirit has guided me all over the world. I have ‘pieces’ of myself scattered across the internet and my nail clippings float in multiples oceans. I edit TheOpenEnd and blog at I Never Had An MFA. Like Don DeLillo, I believe each word triggers an electrical impulse inside our brains. When a perfect string off tiny explosions goes of, both readers and writers experience the deepest kind of pleasure. Austin Nights is my first novel.

I am a first-year law student, but I have figured out that I do not want to practice law. Instead, I am using my free time to hone my writing skills. I have always loved writing, and I want to try to make a living from it. I graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2010. I am a rabid Bulldogs fan, and Athens, GA is pretty much heaven to me. Music is like water to me. Some of my favorite bands are Pearl Jam, Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers, Hanson, Explosions in the Sky, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and The Gaslight Anthem. I go to far too many shows for my wallet's comfort. I am also in love with sports, and in addition to the Bulldogs, I love the Red Sox and Patriots.

I'm an artist, though I can't draw, paint, or sculpt (unless we are talking stick people, "abstract" paint splatters, and lumps of crudely molded forms). I like to watch odd little comedies and indulge in violent action flicks that are low on plot but big on explosions (what can I say it speaks to a primal part in me). I proudly admit to having limited social skills, which doesn't mean I don't have and use manners. I'm not very self absorbed but I have a hard time feigning interest when people feel the need to harp on and on about their little "tragedies." I have a heart, it's used to pump blood and keep me alive. I stay away from people who request no drama from others, because usually these people ooze so much of their own personal drama that it spills over onto anyone near by. Besides a little drama can and usually is a good thing to the creative process. I relish in contradicting myself and rarely take good or bad advice. I know I don't know as much as I'd like to know, but slowly I'm getting there and if I get stuck I just google the answer.

Born in Martinsburg. Writes zombie books for gore-oriented fans and believes explosions can be an asset to any solid story. Enjoys saving the planet (from alien invasion) and large-caliber rifles as well as anything with enough spiciness to kill a rat.

I'm peachy keen. Thanks for asking. In my spare time I like to float around in a big pink bubble and hide your car keys. I take a copy of "American Psycho" by Bret Easton Ellis everywhere I go. I like things that are disturbing and morbid. They make me hungry. I'm always looking for things that touch my soul. My soul has a name and that name is Joe. I spend my weekends in Eternity which is just up the road and down the elevator. I'm going crazy and you're welcome to come with me. We'll be back by Tuesday.

I am a film student at UNLV spewing out skewed reviews and news from the darker side of Las Vegas. The occasional recipe or something may pop up from time to time as well. I try and keep things fun, so try and stop by.
