I am a passionate sports writer from New England, so I tend to have a small bias towards the Red Sox, Bruins, Pats, and Celtics; however, all four of those teams compete to be the best year after year. Outside of sports, I have a degree in Finance, from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island, a small liberal arts school that costs about four times what it should. At Roger Williams I primarily studied Investment Management, and even had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong. Outside of business; movies, tv, and video games entertain me indoors, while I also try to travel a lot, and play sports outdoors. I have played baseball, soccer, hockey, lacrosse, football, and rugby; rugby was my favorite to play so far. I also do a lot of hiking in the spring summer and fall, and snowboard in the winter.

  • PQ Hudson
I attended Mississippi State University and Mississippi University for Women where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Television Broadcasting. I worked for WCBI TV in my hometown of Columbus, Mississippi from 2002-2006 where I started out as an intern and worked my way up the ranks through the production and news departments. Eventually I was awarded my dream position as a Feature News Reporter. (April O'Neil eat your heart out!) In 2006 I relocated to Memphis,Tennessee and began working for WREG TV. Working in local television is an exciting experience that is different every day and involves speaking in a language most can't interpret. However, my true passion lies in less formulaic writing than the who, what, when, where and whys that writing the local news restricts me to. To satisfy that passion I do freelance writing for publications all over the South and several websites. I've also spent the last 3 years writing a collection of prose in my spare time that is full of what my literary idol, Hunter S. Thompson, would refer to as "creative non-fiction." I'll write the next great American novel when I've got more time and energy but my first book makes for a fairly decent bathroom read. I am happily married and in April of 2011 my husband and I became parents to a beautiful baby girl, Hallie Grace. I smile pretty much 24-7 & I love to laugh. My family, music, traveling and helping with animal causes make my world go round. I'm from Mississippi so I also like to drink beer. Beer is good. I am very involved with Belly Rubs Basset Hound Rescue and Sunny Meadows Safe Haven for pets. Please check out these websites and fall in love! www.bellyrubs.org www.sunnymeadows.org

I'm an author, speaker and instructor. My three memoirs are A Healing Heart; A Spiritual Renewal (2006). It won the Reviewer's Choice Award 2008 Semi-Finalist by Reader Views of Austin, Texas. It's about my relationship with my father, One Star Brigadier General, Albert L. Gramm and my spiritual change from miracles caring for him with his cancer. I take a trip to Medugorje in Bosnia. My second is Someone Stop This Merry_Go-Round; An Alcoholic Family in Crisis (2009). It was nominated for the Editor's Choice Award from Allbook Review of Canada. It's in E-book form. It's about my young life married to an alcoholic man, and how our secure, happy life turned to confusion, fear and abuse. My husband died in 1985 at 45 years of age at the VA Hospital in Providence, RI. The sequel, Please, God, Not Two; This Killer Called Alcoholism (2010) is about our life after Richie's death and I learn my daughter, Lori, is following the same path as her father. After three alcoholic rehab stays, at 39 years of age, Lori died at the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. Because of my loss, I became a speaker on "The Effect of Alcoholism on the Whole Family" at private functions and public. On April 5, 2011, I met with Steve Meunier, Senator John Kerry's Policy Advisor, on making changes to the Patient Privacy Act to help substance abusers with their recovery. He is presenting them to Washington, D.C. I'm an instructor for writer's workshops titled "Bring Your Manuscript to Publication. I belong to a group of authors called "Authors Without Borders." We offer readings, poetry slams, speaking engagements, discussion panels and book sigings. I co-authored with "Loose Ends" with Authors Without Borders. Our group is having its own cable TV show NBTV-95 for a 1/2 monthly show for twelve months.

  • Jane Elizabeth Stewart
I'm a New Englander from birth. Born in Boston, and somehow keep returning to New England, despite moving to other states with more temperate climates. I think it's the spring and fall that keep me coming back. There's no place more beautiful during those times of year. I love reading, and dabble in writing. I enjoy watching movies of every kind, although suspense and horror are my favorites. Walking through woods and forests are another pastime. Of course, none of these would be as enjoyable without a furry creature to share it with....and I don't mean my husband! My pets are part of my family, and everything is better with a cat or dog tagging along if possible. I must admit to a secret vice; I do enjoy watching reality TV on occasion. Top Chef and Survivor are my top picks. Sigh. My husband shares many of my hobbies, thank goodness. He adores the furry ones too. Both of us spend time fishing, and foraging in the woods for mushrooms. Luckily, we also enjoy eachother's company. We both also share concern for the environment, and try to contribute what we can. We hope to get a hybrid or electric car when we can afford it. I started reading at the age of four. My mother taught me through her own love of the written word. I was encouraged by many of my teachers to pursue a writing career, and intended to be an English teacher, but somehow never got around to it. I have been published, but it's been small stuff. Is it ever too late to start a new career? I hope not!
