I am a licensed counselor in the states of Alabama and Florida, a registered play therapist, and am a national certified counselor. I have over 10 years in working with mental health issues of families and children and I can help you. I have seen children overcome all types of problems ranging in cutting, anxiety, ADHD, depression, learning disorders, and victimization of sexual and physical abuse. I am also an advid scuba diver who was certified only three years ago but dives every weekend when ever possible.

Heidi McIndoo, MS, RD, LDN is an award-winning, registered dietitian. She's a nationally recognized nutrition expert who's written for and been quoted in hundreds of publications and media outlets. Heidi began her love of food & cooking as a very young girl. Living with food allergies for many years gave her an understanding of how challenging eating can be for some. In deciding to become a registered dietitian, she combined these two very important parts of her life to help others eat healthfully, manage their personal eating issues, and most importantly enjoy food. As a busy working mom with 2 young children, Heidi practices what she preaches every day'"balancing work, family, and play while enjoying and nurturing healthy habits. For more than 17 years she's helped teach men, women, children, and families how important, easy, and delicious eating nutritiously can be. She received her Bachelor of Science in dietetics from the University of Connecticut and her Masters of Science in nutrition communication at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. While completing her Masters degree, Heidi interned and worked at The Food Network's New York studios. Heidi served as a national media spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association providing sound nutrition advice for magazines, newspapers, radio, and television interviews. In 2001 she was named a Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year by the American Dietetic Association.

I have competed in pageants for 7 years. I was a cheerleader for 10 years. I was a beauty consultant and makeup artist at Merle Norman Cosmetics for 2 years. I come from a family of 6 so I am well versed in the pros and cons of big families. I have lived in 5 states.

a system Failed child I was raised in foster care and bumped around from home to home until I'd had enough at age 11. I discovered the stability of the inner city streets, and the comfort of knowing everywhere was home from the train-yard to under overpass' to public parks and back alley's. I learned fast that to survive you had to be quick and humble. Drugs quickly became part of the daily routine in my youth. I was addicted to heroin by the age of 12 and had also experimented with every possible substance I could get my hands on. Once while scouring the back alley's of Vancouver's Hastings st. at 15yrs old, I came across a dead body in a dumpster. It was very traumatising. I have traveled Canada 3 times over each time was a new adventure I have met so many interesting people From truck drivers married to more than one Family to weirdo's who want to sleep with children (me at the time!) to urban Christan rap groups. In my short time on this earth I have overcome so much and lived a great deal beyond my years. I have acquired a passion for poetry and story telling to convey the harsh truths and subtle beauty I see in every being on this earth. I have been drug free since I was 17! And have given life to two beautiful children one of which has asperger's syndrome, ADD and the most unique way of looking at the world I have ever seen! As a mother I feel a need to share what I have learned about the seedy underbelly of society the forgotten children and families of the developed world and a drug trade that sucks the life from our society & youth.

Paula's passion for learning how to help families grow strong started at a young age. In her tenth year of life, her father died and she began observing how other men related to their children and their wives. She's worked for over 20 years with families of all ages as a church volunteer, then youth pastor, then children's pastor. Now that she's a wife and mom herself, the passion has grown stronger.
