flying aceThe author is happy to have joined the new awakening of the American People. Researching and reading history has become for some, as pleasant an American pasttime as eating apple pie or watching football. Sharing things learned in this way is fulfilling, and invites further comment and discussion from others. Visit Flying ACE at http://www.leathercarry-abouts.com. Patrick de la GarzaIt has been said that every young man should play around with airplanes and flying at some point before going on to real jobs. I m one of those people who came to aviation and never left. I ve had the opportunity to work for some of the best known names in aviation including Boeing, Cessna, Piper, Honeywell, and Jeppesen. While I am a pilot, most of my jobs have been in marketing, market research, and strategic planning. The best part, for me at least, is that as a part of my job I got to fly many of the most of the most widely known airplanes in general aviation. I have written articles about my experiences in flying and some have been published. As a result of my experiences I have gained a perspective about aviation events that is fairly unique.
