I have an eclectic background and interests. I was a professor and department head of criminal justice at Baltimore City Community College; "Mr. Mom" for my three sons; a priest raised to the dignity of Monsignor in the Catholic Church of Antioch; a theologian; a member of the faculty of Sophia Divinity School, St. Michael's Seminary '" Australia, and Ascension Theological College; a published author; an artist; and an advocate for adoptee, birth mother, women's, and gay rights.

Jason Frye is a Humanist Minister, a Gay Rights activist, and an all around nice guy/smart ass. He hopes that you enjoy his writing. I am a gay white male born and raised in Albany, Georgia. I graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelors of Arts in History. After college I moved to Tallahassee, Florida. I m a 17 year old high school student with a love for writing, economics, and marine biology. I m a young woman of the people. Due to my economic status constantly fluctuating between the high and low boundaries of middle class, i understand the views and hardships of my fellow Americans still trying to achieve the American Dream this country is known for. With my simple lifestyle, I m always in the background observing the adult situations around me. For example: voting for president, gay rights, the occupy movements, etc. I may only be 17 but my maturity and attentiveness make me seem much older.

Born and raised near Cleveland, OH, (1955) but spent most adult years in both Los Angeles and Ft. Lauderdale. Recently returned to the Cleveland area upon my disability retirement. I attened the Ohio University School of Journalism, was on the Dean's List, but fell in love and did not graduate. Am a former Contributing Writer (and columnist) at Frontier's Magazine (L.A.), regular contributor at HIVStopsWith Us.org, and am a produced playwright and a former winner of the Jane Chambers Memorial Gay Playwriting Award. I was a frequent contributor to Prime Health and Fitness (a Weider publication, now defunct) writing mostly about men's sexual health issues. Have also had several op-ed and opinion pieces published in various newspapers (Cleveland Plain Dealer, among them). I had essentially two careers; one as a mental health worker working on community hospital in-patient psych wards, but also some forensic psychiatry (about 10 yrs). My other career was as a housing official specializing in senior citizen housing and management programs in Los Angles - also about 10 yrs. I'm a devout agnostic, Democrat, dog-owner, and budding gardener - pun intended. I love to cook but hate to do dishes. I've been single and happy for ten years, but have more ex's than Zsa Zsa Gabor. I think technology has already outpaced humanity and that's partly why we're all a bit insane.

Being deaf, and also having a mental disability, I know first hand the obstacles we face in the workforce. Having advocated for disability rights for several years, I have learned some things that I would like to share for the benefit of others. I was also married for almost 25 years, and had two beautiful children, before divorcing. I have since come out of the closet, or removed my mask, and am living the lifestyle that I prefer and couldn't be happier for doing so. I am now with my partner, who I intend on keeping for a lifetime. I have had so many obstacles put in my way over my lifetime, but with the grace of God have always survived. I have had a very hard life since birth, but wouldn't change a thing as it has made me who I am today.....and I'm proud of who I am!
