Leanne KirkseyI am a stay-at-home mom of three, married to my wonderful husband of 14 years who is a local morning radio show host. I have a bachelor s degree in marketing and have worked in the field both as a professional and a volunteer for 18 years. Both my husband and son were diagnosed with Celiac Disease 4 years ago which forced me to change our family diet. I have spent that time perfecting gluten-free baking recipes and often sell my baked goods to others who are gluten-free. I have also spent more than 6 years teaching children art and homeschooling my 3 children. In my free time, I enjoy budget home remodeling and decorating, DIY projects, reading and traveling.

Melanie BerkowitzLawyer. Author. Small Business Owner. Professor. Labor and Employment Attorney. Writing Instructor. Gluten-Free Cook. Recipe Developer. Dance Mom. Parent. Organization Expert. These are just some of the official and unofficial titles I've held over the years. My experience is varied.. On the legal side, I've practiced labor and employment law, clerked for judges, taught law school and developed education-based marketing materials on a variety of legal topics. My love of writing and teaching has led me to start a company that does both: I teach lawyers and business people how to improve their writing and communication skills to build stronger business relationships and ghostwrite for clients who don't have the time to write for themselves. As a work-at-home-mom I balance the challenges of raising three gluten-free daughters with the running of my business. I spend time nearly every month helping someone newly diagnosed with celiac disease learn how to navigate the complexities of gluten free living. I cook and bake and travel gluten free with my family and love to help people figure out how they can too.

Karen DearKaren is a mom with a story to tell. She is passionate about gluten free cooking, writing prose and stories, singing opera and presenting social commentary. Her ambitions of being a journalist/anchor with her communications degree as a young college graduate came to a screeching halt due to some debilitating life circumstances from severe undiagnosed wheat sensitivity to post traumatic stress disorder. Now 44 and recovered she has direction. She is thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to write for Yahoo to enjoy the freedom and outlet of expression. With a little girl in tow and a husband of ten years she has achieved a role with North Carolina Theatre and sung with chorus of North Carolina Opera. She has sung in many churches from the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California to her United Methodist Church at home and has been in pursuit of a professional career for the past two years. She has degrees in both communication & music. She is a survivor that has much to share about her recovery and how she has achieved peace, joy & living life in abundance. From that experience she has a unique perspective on life and looks forward to writing for Yahoo and meeting others with unique perspectives.

Liz DavisMy loves: my family, writing, reading non-fiction, pine-scented candles, dark chocolate, my Mac, gluten-free baked treats, real food, a well-cooked steak, chilly weather but not too cold, anything coconut, sleeping in, nice people, getting a good deal, taking pictures of my baby, Kiki the Cat, and laughing.
Victoria ReitanoVictoria Reitano is a journalist, or giornalista as she likes to say, writing for a software development magazine, managing University Chic.com and blogging about her struggles (and triumphs) with her gluten-free lifestyle. She believes in the power of the Web, good old fashioned reporting and, of course, The New York Times. She's inspired by Coco Chanel, Julia Child and great female reporters who blazed the trails '" Ida Tarbell, Nellie Bly and Diane Sawyer, to name a few.
Skye RoseI have participated in several musical productions from school to professional. I have both been cast as a lead and also as part of the supporting cast. Because of certain health issues, I have to stay away from gluten. As a result, I have had to adjust my lifestyle and have discovered new flavors. I have taken this inconvenience-turned-opportunity to explore the many tastes of gluten free desserts. I enjoy reading whenever I can and am a great lover of all types of fiction books. As for non-fiction, I quite enjoy memoirs.
Rose BourneA native Seattle student going to school in Denver, I am a scholar by day and a blogger/writer by night. Some fun facts about me: I am 100% gluten free (one of many Celiac Disease victims), I am studying Communications, minoring in tourism and italian, and I sing too much too loudly for my own health.
Dawn Davies TyrrellI live in the South, am raising three children in a blended family, and am blessed to be a part of my two stepsons' lives. I have a lot of interests, and pursue them with all the attention deficit gusto I have. I am not offended when people call me a Jack-of-All-Trades, but I am a little rueful. I find that my children do best when I am home with them. Even though they are into their teens, they still need me to give them the best of my attention, energy, and time. As a result, I prefer to work from home. I have worked writing and editing online courses, editing dissertations and books, copy editing for a publishing company, and recently, writing web content for a homeschooling website. I also enjoy art and lately I have been making some large mosaic pieces. I am also a committed Christian, am awed by studying the bible, and get excited by how real God's interest in our lives is. My family and I also live gluten-free, and I dream of one day having safe, gluten-free options for nearly every kind of food, even when dining out.
Missy MeyerI blog about a variety of topics from low-carb and gluten-free foods to books to my work as a performer. I'm a fan of reality television, Disney theme parks, food, music, and pleasure reading. I've been an improv comedian for over 15 years, in both Seattle and Orlando.
