I'm a self-admitted smart aleck. I like most people, well, some of them, okay a few! I feel sorry for the people around me, because I am crazy. Throughout the years, I have learned to (mostly) hold it in, but I'm still not right in the head. I think gross things are funny and oftentimes sad things make me giggle nervously. I've been called a dude in a chick's body by several different people. I like to sew. I love my dog. I have a pretty awesome bf. My mom is my bff. I judge people by their grammar, both written and verbal. I have crushes on men with funny mustaches (George Parros, call me!). I have recently learned to enjoy cooking. I am recovering from an education addiction, which resulted in a master's degree. A solid night for me involves Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

At 13 years old, I had two dreams; to become a writer and to move to California. At 19 years old, I had met my husband, said goobye to my dreams and hello to being a wife and a mother. After doing legal transcription for almost 20 years, my hands had enough. Pounding on a keyboard every day was unacceptable behavior to my hands. That is when my dream came back to call on me. This time, I did not deter. I was determined to fulfill my calling. After receiving an honors certificate in creative writing and taking a grammar refresher course, I began to dip my toes in the water of freelance writing. Thereafter, I dove in head first, even though there was no lifeguard on duty. I have contributed to various online vehciles to suit their Search Engine Optimization needs as well as contributing poetry to a well-known greeting card company. Having raised three children as a single parent and having to parent my parents, I view these struggles as blessings in disguise. I am stronger for my experiences, and so is my writing. I am determined to pursue my creative writing as well as Christian writing. When life deters, determination prevails!

  • The Brand Mason
I grew up on the East Coast and do have street smarts, but I fortunately have a lot more self control than Tony Soprano. I'm not a fan of bureaucracy, committees or groupthink. Teams that succeed elicit outstanding contributions from all members and are led by an individual capable of making decisions and executing plans. I solve my clients' problems with direct, incisive analysis, out-of-the-box thinking, and skepticism of so-called "conventional wisdom" and time-consuming, bureaucratically-based approaches. My interests include literature, poetry, history, psychology, philosophy, religion, music, cosmology, mathematics, medicine, law, economics, sports, orthography (a fancy word that essentially means "spelling"), financial instruments such as futures and options, marketing, biotechnology & genetics, negotiation, software, branding, nutrition and various and sundry other subjects worthy of rumination, cogitation, expostulation and contemplation. I've also taught university-level courses in computer science, financial mathematics, C programming, and English grammar.
  • M. Graham
Once on a mission to rid the world of poor grammar, M. Graham has given up jousting windmills after realizing that in many cases people unconsciously pick up habits from what they read and hear. So what better way to lead than by example? With a following of -- well, only a few at the moment, she writes about an eclectic mix of subjects, from orchid growing to dog training to making the perfect margarita. A piece of short fiction will sometimes sneak its way into the mix. Of course, she still rails on errant apostrophes on occasion and the overuse of buzzwords. She has an opinion and can back it up, and therein is the value of whatever she has to say. If she likes something, she'll tell you why so you can judge for yourself whether you'll be in agreement.

i'm just a regular guy navigating a "regular" life, "living the dream" if-you-will. happily married on 8/29/09 to my best friend and partner-in-crime. working for the same company for the past 8 yrs. i've always been good at writing in my mind, and often was told the same by peers and teachers, etc. i've written a few articles for some gaming websites but decided it's time i pursue this a bit further...if for nothing more than an outlet to voice my opinions/thoughts, etc. the first thing you may have noticed: i'm not all about proper grammar and puncuation, don't care about it and not sure why people do care...but to each his own. i'm probably one of the most non-confrontational peeps i know of. i have strong opinions, but i respect everyone's views also. there are only a few things i cannot tolerate, the most prominant being prejudice. whether racism, sexism, or eilitism...i hate it all and will never see eye-to-eye with someone who walks that line. anyways, this is a glimpse of who i am. i love my wife, i love my life (although i could always use more money) :), i love to write. stay tuned...

  • J. C. Stanton
I was born in Berrien Springs, MI in 1977. I am the eldest of five siblings. My father was a Baptist preacher. When I was two years old, we moved from Michigan to South Carolina so that my dad could attend Bob Jones University. He had intended to go into evangelism, but instead ended up pastoring small churches for the next twelve years. We never stayed at any one church for more than three years. We lived all over South Carolina until I was ten, at which time, we moved back to Michigan and roamed all over that great state until I graduated high school in 1995. During that summer my father resigned his position as pastor of Community Baptist Church, and he has not pastored a church since that time. My parents were adamant that their children would never attend a public school. Therefore, if a Christian school was not available, or if they could not afford tuition, we were homeschooled. I discovered very early in my education that I had a God-given talent in the subjects of reading, spelling, vocabulary, and grammar. We did not have a television, and I found myself with plenty of time on my hands. Because of this, I developed a love for reading. Over the course of time, I found that I also enjoyed writing. Though most kids moan and groan over being given a writing assignment, I loved it. Eventually, though, I did as all children do. I grew up. Somehow, during the process of growing up, I forgot how much I loved formulating a concept for a story and watching it grow and take on a life of its own as I penned it down on paper. Recently, I have rediscovered that passion for writing. It is what I do best, and it is what I love to do. It is my objective to begin a highly successful writing career here on Associated Content. I am looking forward to publishing my work, and, for the first time in my life, getting paid to do what I love.
