Rick SolomonI have a variety of interests but my heart is with writing. I enjoy writing fiction stories and novels in the suspense and crime drama genre. I live on a 1.6 acre lot in the country and enjoy gardening and gourmet cooking and outdoor grilling. I also enjoy dining out at places from fast food to fine restaurants. I would love to write reviews on them. I enjoy movies and religious studies.
Daniel PowellI am a 18 year old high school graduate currently living in Valdosta, Georgia.I particpated in several martial arts and play several high school sports.I love sports, martial arts(including MMA),grilling and traveling.
George CoppleI was born and raised to be a sports fanatic. My parents had Dodgers season tickets when I was young and watched the "Showtime" Lakers more times than I can remember. I also spent lots of time outdoors either playing sports or fishing and enjoying nature. I still have a passion for the outdoors and sports and especially love discussing and debating things related to them. Another passion of mine is cooking...particularly grilling! Being located in sunny Southern California there is nothing like spending a day on the lake then relaxing at home with some good food on the grill and watching the game.
Joseph VasquezJoe Vasquez holds a journalism degree from Hofstra University, but never worked as a journalist. Instead, he started a successful career in public relations and has worked at some of New York City's top PR firms representing Fortune 500 and start-up companies. After getting tired of the commute into the Big Apple from New Jersey (among other things), he left Manhattan for Austin to start VASQ PR, a full-service PR, marketing and social media agency. If not coming up with creative ways to get his clients in the news, Joe can be found playing golf or grilling rib eye steaks. You can follow him on twitter at http://twitter.com/PRFlipside or friend request him on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/vasquez.joseph. In the spirit of full disclosure, Joe will inform readers of any articles or mentions written that pertain to any of his clients. At Hofstra, he was mentored by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, Robert Greene, of Newsday. Joe lives in the Lake Travis area with his wife, Maya, teen daughter, Monique, and two young boys, John, 7, and James, 6, who are both diagnosed with autism. He is an advocate for autism research and services.
Dave PeetI was born in Western NY in a small town called Wilson that is about 40 minutes north of Buffalo right on Lake Ontario. I moved down to FL for a year after graduating high school but got homesick and moved back home and worked in a factory making arts and crafts products until it closed and relocated. After that I was in the army for 10 years as a paratrooper( yes i jumped out of a perfectly good airplane) and a heavy construction equipment operator and a Combat Engineer. I have been to Iraq and Kosovo, and finished my tour in Korea.I'm now a 20% disabled vet. I went to school at MMI in Orlando when I got out, so now im a certified motorcycle mechanic but they dont pay shit, and they require 3 years of experience so now I work at the Advance Auto Parts warehouse as a forklift mechanic. Good enough for me right now but if I ever fell into a heap of money I'd open a restaurant. When I'm not working I enjoy watching TV, fishing, grilling, building model cars, cooking, reading, listening to music or just spending time with friends and family.
Diana RasconA 42 yr old single mother, diagnosed with Adult A.D.D, trying to survive in the U. S. with very traditional latin upbringing. Seeking a partner in this new era of "online Dating". There are twists and much humor. A proud parent of three amazing children, whom learned to over come the obstacles of living with a parent with A.D.D. and living in a society where one is automatically labeled "dysfuntional". Finding out the true meaning of "Family" with love, tolerance, patience, faith and over all humor. Learning to turn tears into laughter. Turning something negative into a postive learning experience. Learning to survive on one income. For example, if your gas is shut off for lack of payment, pray you have an electric stove and teach your children the traditional ways people lived before hot water was imtroduced into running faucets! Most important, learning the code word of "HOT WATER COMING THROUGH" is like the word "TIMBER" that was used for tree cutters. Another example is mama and her A.D.D forgot to pay the electric bill. Well tonight we are eating out! No I do not mean out in a restaraunt but outside in the yard, we are grilling tonight! Candle light dinner anyone? Do we still have marshmallows from last time? Life is hard in the U.S. in this land of the free. A single mom can settle for less because she needs the second income coming in, or do you take pride and learn to tuff it out until you meet the right one and make the best of what you have without loosing your mind and maintaining your children close? Nobody said life would be easy. Nobody asked to be here, but we are here. Everyone has obstacles, these are my obstacle and my children's, this is our story of survival, through love and humor.
