  • Linda Harris
I was born and raised in the mid west, and value hard work, honesty, integrity, and family. I currently reside in central Florida, and love exploring the historical interests, ocean, and outdoor activities and events in the Volusia & Flagler County areas. I hold a bachelor degree in Elementary Education, and have worked diligently for the past 15 years with developmentally disabled individuals. I love to write short stories, poetry, and humorous family-related and lifestyle articles. In the past, I enjoyed writing children's stories, and screen plays. My interests include ham radio, live music, foreclosure relief for low income families, and travel. I believe in giving back to my community, and sharing my knowledge with others. In life's journey, none of us are equipped with all the knowledge essential to fulfill our desires, or cultivate our dreams. We travel the road of life more successfully by building a base of knowledge that is learned through reading, and sharing information with others.

In my seventy plus years I've seen and done a lot. In my eight years in the navy I was all over the Far East from Korea to Australia and points in between. In my young years I climbed mountains, backpacked and skied. I've been a Ham Radio Operator for over fifty years. I spent thirty-eight years in Land Mobile Radio where I retired six years ago. I've been a Christian for over thirty-five years and now fellowship with a small sect called Christadelphians. I drive a school bus for fun and profit.

I was a Red Cross volunteer instructor ham operator at disasters for years, and helped the people made homeless. Now, the homeless problem is economic, which is as real as any earthquake. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I taught psychology at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and at Milwaukee Free University, eventually becoming Chancellor of the latter. With an IQ of 800, a huge disability, I still manage to do business on my website at NZ9F.com, my ham radio callsign, the San Diego Homeless search engine. I found a potential cure for autism recently, do some work as a Bishop (Ancient Paganism), blog, write editorials for the major daily newspapers, and teach on-line (currently a course on homelessness). I am a psychologist, chess instructor, humorist, chef, television engineer, and air conditioning engineer, much not active right now. I publish the San Diego Homeless News, have written many published editorials under pen names for major newspapers, and am politically active, chair the San Diego Homeless Intellectuals Program developing solutions. I have an education in psychology, pharmacy, law, engineering, radio/television, air conditioning, religion, and even sexuality. I have published several books, written humor for Johnny Carson (my humor blog is on line) and I dated Janis Joplin. My complete biography is on-line at www.NZ9F.com/R, and my diary is on Home Page..

@ 14 I earned my electronic technician license. I studied under a decorated Military General that taught me Ohms Law and Electronics. He also ran a small Ham radio store and that's where my love for the small business started. I was fixing transistor and Tube ham radios / CB's and selling them at the local Ham feasts / flea markets. Yes at 14 I was working on everything from Ham towers to modifying Big rigs CB's. I found gaps in security some of the biggest companies and pointed these gaps out to people for no personal gain. @ 15 I was a full fledged Hacker of phone systems and computers. To give you an idea how my electronics exp aided my love for computers and hacking; My first 8088 didn't have a sound card! It didn't even have an ISA slot. It had what was called bix and I made a bix to ISA converter and built my own sound card from a heath kit. I then coded the sound driver to work in Dos. Yes, my 8088 and Wildcat BBS and I got into a lot of trouble. LOL My hacking interests got me into computer network security. @ 19 I became a CNE and MCP and landed my first corporate job at Dreyfus as an MIS Analyst. Networking get me into the Internet and Mixcat.com was born. I waited for years for people to trust the net enough to buy things on it. That took years. Since then its been 4 stores and more experiments then I care to admit.. I have seen everything from people being oppressed because of inventions, to oppression of the spirit. I'm now in my 30's and God is number 1 in my life. I'm a big time history & science buff. I see how REAL science and the bible agrees in most everything. Real science tests all things and so does the believer. When we see things or examples that don't bear the right fruit we need to toss out and start over. The goal is the RIGHT answer! Not every answer is right! The world teaches otherwise. I see how science really has adopted this logic and it grieves me.
