Paula received a doctorate in Middle East Studies -- Anthropology from the University of Utah. She is particularly fascinated by the field of the anthropology of religiion and the culltures of the Middle East and Far East. Her dissertation followed the early marital customs in the Middle East which surprisingly favored the woman. Paula spent time living in Japan and Jerusalem. She treasured both her time in the east and in the west, particularly enjoying the people, cultures history and surroundings there. She is also somewhat of an armchair archaeologist of the MIddle East and the Pre-Columbian Americas. Sarah Parrish began writing when she was fifteen, publishing articles in a newsletter called Getting Ready for at-risk youth.
