I grew up in a small, rural town in West Virginia. I am currently enrolled at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio as Junior studying Criminal Justice. My interests include music, philosophy/theology, and sports. As far as sports go I am mainly interested in hard rock and heavy metal genres, along with all of their subcategories. For sports I prefer to write about basketball (mainly NBA), hockey (NHL), and soccer/football, whichever you prefer to call it (mainly the English Premier League). I am currently a self emplyed webzine publisher and blogger. My professional experience includes nearly 20 years in the local rado.tv and newspaper business as a copy writer, commercial producer, disc jockey, show producer, and even an freelance sports reporter. Over 450 posts in a little over a year. My major area of expertise is hard rock and heavy metal music reviews and opinions but I can also contribute in other genres of music. I am an observer. I look, listen, and learn from everything. I refuse to believe anything that cannot be verified. and must look truth,as ugly as it may be, square in the eyes. Most people live in a world they define with limits, rights, wrongs and reasons. They live in a self-defined box. But a few people cannot justify living in a box. Belief and reality conflict. Reality is skewed and confusing for every human but for those who refuse to have reality dictated to them by others, reality is all there is. I live in reality. If you do not understand what I mean you will never understand me. We are who we are. Our personality, passions and pursuits are guided far more by a thousand years of genetics than it is by anything else, be that religion, experience or choice. The only legitimate struggle for any person is to understand who we are and how we fit themselves into the world we live. Anything else is a waste of time. My writing has always been an effort to figure out who I am, what the world is, and where I fit in it. I believe in honesty and truth, no matter where it takes us, who it offends, or how unattractive it may be. I"m never apologetic, often inconsiderate, sometimes deliberately unkind or unpleasant. Whether it's a travel piece, a news story or whatever, tell the truth, be direct, pull no punches. Anyone who fluffs their stuff to sell it is a greedy coward, a cheat and a liar. At present I am living at home with a wife and two kids. I've cooked burgers, driven trucks, done welfare casework. I've managed restaurants, been a maintenance mechanic and worked as a radio DJ. I have a degree in history with training in an assortment of areas from advertising to legal writing. I've written articles, essays, short stories, poetry and books. I have an insatiable curiosity. I'm a perpetual student. I love travel, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, Ziegenboch, hanging with people that are not offended when I am myself.

I'm a former broadcaster, returning college student, and part-time musician. I've had a lot of other jobs, which include concrete, heavy construction, mining, truck-driving and working cattle. About three years ago, I left my job in radio to return to college. I'm finishing a bachelors in convergent media at Missouri Western State University here in St. Joseph, and plan to go on to earn my masters in integrated media. My biggest interest is music though. I sing, plus play harmonica, guitar, Dobro and mandolin. I've played metal, hard rock, country, blues, and folk both solo and in bands. Right now, I sing lead and play in a St. Joseph-based country/rock/blues band, and play solo. I've done one solo album project years back, with another one on the way.

I am 34 and born and raised in the Delaware/Maryland area.I went to college in the deep south and had a double major while being a varsity athlete traveling up to two days a week year round. I work in banking and teach finance at the college level and do free seminars for seniors citizens at my church on personal finance. In banking I have spent extensive time lending money, collecting money, and dealing with mortgages as well as marketing and compliance. I am a southern Democrat, but very conservative and often will identify more with republicans. I would call myself, pro '"life, pro-gun, pro-god, pro-america and anti-obama. I have been playing guitar for a bit now and enjoy 80s hard rock, blues, heavy metal, and classical. I also sometimes collect coins and football and baseball cards. My late father once said its better to know a little bit about a lot of things that everything about just one thing.
