Upon graduation, Carol began teaching middle school Math and Algebra I and served as the technology liaison for her campus. She served as a teacher for 16 years and was lucky to have taught at Hillcrest Middle School, a 1:1 campus where every student was issued a laptop computer. Terry ButtchenI have many years of experience day trading stocks. Through technical chart analysis and understanding the psychology of traders, I am a very profitable trader. In addition, I enjoy online learning and discussing the law.
Joy DvorakLiving life to the fullest for me is learning new things and spending quality time with my family. After years of working in a Catholic School Library where my boys were enrolled, I decided to quit working to homeschool. Ever since, we have been loving life and enjoying learning together. I've recently returned to school to learn digital media. The boys and I have made short videos together and expanded our interests in creating stories using digital media. We are tackling the challenge of learning Final Cut Pro 6 for video editing. I have a passion for reading all book genres and loved my time as a school librarian where I helped students develop an interest in reading by finding books that suited their interests. I love sharing literature with children and adults. My interests outside of reading are yoga, healthy food (juicing & smoothies) and photography.
Douglas WarrenMy military career consisted of a variety of commend and operational assignments. It culminated in teaching large unit tactics at the Command and General Staff College. Additionally, I have fourteen years of experience in industry centering on business process improvements, organizational learning and training, organizational change management, and cross functional operations. I am a certified process improvement consultant and ISO internal auditor.
Stanley W. ShuraI live and work in the South Shore area of Massachusetts. My day job is in "severe" special needs. I am priviliged and happy and *very* blessed every day I get to spend with these beautiful and heart-swelling kids. I play the piano, and teach it privately. I love jazz, and have an ecclectic (or obscure!) variety of "geeky" interests including math, psychology, learning theory, and word games. I am a passionate and life-long learner, with a keen (albeit unofficial) interest in constitutional law and citizens' legal powers. I am a staunch defender of civil rights and believe in a legally intelligent and empowered citizenry. I am thrice disabled, these dx's either comorbid with or resulting from hydrocephalus and its surgical treatment. The "trifecta" is Nonverbal Learning Disability, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and clinically significant (talk about understatement!) Anxiety. Yes - capitalized. I also happen to have some pretty strong gifts as well, when I am diligent about the basic health stuff (especially diet, exercise and GETTING ADEQUATE SLEEP!) and when the non-basic stuff is likewise managed well and followed (meds, keeping track of and keeping appointments, and following through with my own health monitoring and care plans). I AM going to master this "life" thing, and ALL of the conflicts (and their participants!) and opportunities it has to offer.
