With a childhood full of Nintendo, Lego and other awesome toys, I developed a vivid imagination and channelled that into writing. After taking my education seriously, I accepted a career where none of that mattered. A marriage and two sons later, as I hope my boys continue to follow their dreams, I have attempted to rekindle the sparks of my childhood... with sometimes disastrous, sometimes humorous results.

I am a young, married, Catholic father of two. I seek the truth in all things, and also enjoy playing with Lego's.

I am a General Partner at Matrix, an early stage venture capital fund that has invested in some great companies. I live in Boston and focus on east coast mobile technology and Internet software startups. I got to know Matrix in 2005 when they funded the last of my four startups, Tabblo, which I founded in their offices and sold to Hewlett Packard where I then became the CTO of their consumer printing business. Tabblo was an absolute blast and based on the simple insight that people wanted to do a lot more with their digital photos than just mimic the analog contact sheet both online and in print. And then while at HP I got a good taste for what a monster technology business needs in order to grow at billions of dollars per quarter. I was also bitten by the mobile bug having led and worked on projects like Apple's AirPrint and Cloudprint initiative to kill the dreaded print driver. Before HP I ran engineering at another photo company, MyPublisher, that was for a long time the largest photo book manufacturer in the world. I also co-founded a personal server company in 2000 called Memora (didn't make it) and worked in product at abuzz (Q&A site sold to the New York Times in 1999). Other than helping entrepreneurs in the areas I am passionate about, I have a few side projects that mostly relate to connecting bits to atoms and open source software and am a fan of great science fiction and meaningful biographies. I also really enjoy Lego and Minecraft with my two young sons.

Miguel Valenzuela is a design engineer who currently is residing in Norway. He comes from a diverse background with extensive knowledge of many fields including civil engineering, math, science, college academics, dealing with finances and student loans. His Hobbies include playing LEGO with his children, fishing, programming, photography and making stop motion animation movies.

Andrew Dykstal attends Hillsdale College. He was home schooled K-12, participated in FIRST Lego League in middle school, competed successfully in a variety of speech and debate competitions in high school, and currently works with high school and college students on writing. He enjoys reading, shooting sports, and writing essays and short fiction. He is less keen on writing about himself in the third person.

Born in the town that spawned Bradbury, MjL has been a writer since he was a child. Was once told he had a gift for conveying his points if it were just a conversation, he focused his efforts on writing on poetry and prose under the pseudonym thum. Interested in expanding his writing ability, he completed the writing program offered through Chicago's Second City Comedy Theatre company. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and runs the improv theatre company ChicagoImprovAnarchy. He also is the webmaster for MichaelLarimer.com and once was news editor for TheTwoCents.com, where you can still find his humorous recaps of TV shows. He holds his wife and child as his most dear loves in life.
