When I was just a kid, I became fascinated with computers and the things they could draw on their screens. In my teens, I became equally fascinated by show production and music. This all being combined in a small space, I suppose it's just natural that I've ended up as an audio and lighting tech for local bands and music venues. I even ran a “grace-based” music venue for a while, and I'd like to do it again if the opportunity presents itself properly. In addition to working with loud noises and bright lights, I also have the opportunity to write online articles for an AV-oriented publication. Every so often, I get to mix a live recording – which I currently find much more exciting than working on studio recordings. (I suppose I might change my mind somewhere down the line.) I'm excited by innovation, and I love new toys.

I have worked the last 25 years in the steel and petro chemical industries as well as consulting on many residental, commercial, and industrial projects. I started ny careerin the maintenance and construction industry in my early teens and have always enjoyed the trades and the hard working people in them. later in my career I found it nesacary to evolve with the market and upgrade my education and professional expertise through various courses of study related to the trades. Through personal trials with my spouse I found myself becoming a single parent and quickly learned that the job of mother and father was far harder than I had imagened and gave me a new respect for all those stay at home moms who raise their children. Thats the short version so i feel I can adequetly field questions from the correction of plant power factor, the advantages of insulated metal shingles, energy efficent lighting solutions or managing a career while raising 3 young children on my own.
