M.A.Garden-HillI am a wife and mother of three children. My oldest daughter was born with Spina Bifida a birth defect. Unfortunately she passed away at the age of 23, October 30th 2006 in a fire at her apartment. I have another daughter and a son. I love photography and writing. Having a child with a disability has taught me and my other children a lot. To have compassion and to be non judgmental toward others. My daughter was a very special person and touched a lot of people in her short life.
Garden GirlI just recently started writing on another website, and then I heard about this one, so I thought I'd try it. I love to do photography, gardening, and do 'crafts'. I am a 'do it yourselfer', and I love to take one persons trash, and make it my treasure! I am an animal lover
I like drama on my tv, not in my life!I am a married, stay at home, homeschooling, coupon clipin' mom of two. When I am not hocking my wares on Ebay and Amazon, I garden, sew, read and write. I hate drama and will do anything to avoid it.

Beth ThompsonI am a stay at home mom with many facets of expertise. I pride myself as knowing a little bit about a lot of different things and can offer information on many different topice. I am an extreme coupon user and stockpiler. I have been using coupons and saving tons of money for more than 3 years and I have lost track of the thousands of dollars I have saved since the beginning. I also raise my own chickens for eggs and meat. We have reared some of them from chicks and have even hatched our own from a homemade incubator. They are certainly entertaining, and anyone that has ever stopped to watch chickens interact with one another will know that they are hilarious! I consider them the ideal pet because when you feed them they give you gifts; eggs and manure. They contribute to my garden and I give back to them in return. It is interesting how easy they are to take care of and I wouldn't have it any other way. My household is working towards being more self sufficient and lower our utility bills by saving power and finding other ways to power, heat and cool our home. I also enjoy many crafts including knitting and crocheting items that I use everyday and some that I have sold at craft shows. In addition, I love to cook and bake whether from scratch or a box I tend to change the recipe to make it my own and usually the outcome is seriously delicious! I guess all of my hobbies are a direct result of my doi-it-yourself attitude that filters to my way of life. If I can make it myself then I won't buy it. I hope this has been an little bit of an insite into things I like to do and that I am very knowledgeable about. While I lack extensive experience in writing I hold plenty of information on the afore mentioned topics.
Steven Davies-SigmundFirst and foremost, I am a single father of three amazing kids, one of whom is autistic. When I m not taking care of my kids, I am a librarian and like most librarians I am an avid reader and writer. Currently I am in the process of writing my first book and when I m not doing that (or with my kids), I write on my blog the Green Librarian (www.greenlibrarian.com) With the little free time that I have, I like to be outside, either working on my house or enjoying nature by going to parks or working on my garden. Now sometimes, even when I with my kids, we try and get outside. Whether it s working in the yard or garden or going to one of our local parks. Finally, the one last thing that I truly enjoy doing is watching the St. Louis Blues during hockey season. As someone who has been following them since the late 1970 s, I m still waiting for their first Stanley Cup.
Ashley MillerI am primarily an artist. I also spend a lot of time gardening. I acquired an interest in nature photography through my garden. I like to read and write, as well. I plan on writing as much as I can to improve my talents in that area. I made very good grades in Creative Writing in college.

Tiffany GriggsBorn in Midland, Texas in 1970. I trace where we lived with the accent I had at the time: New Orleans toddler-talk-turned-Lincolnshire accent (Louth, Lincolnshire, UK); Queen's English (London); Scottish brogue (Aberdeen, Scotland); brogue- turned- fake- Texan- turned-passable - Colorado (?) accent (Houston, Tx) which is the accent I kept (I'm told) through subsequent years in DubaI, Switzerland and most recently, Austin, Texas. Phew! I have a gearhead husband- we are entrepreneurs and have an automotive repair shop. I am a Distinguished Speaker at Texas State University's McCoy School of Business- Entrepreneurial Program. I'm headed towards an MBA, or a MSC (if LSE). I travel as much as possible, love learning languages, listen to a lot of music that swirls on a punk and grunge compass. I think I can play guitar, I have a budget and I bring home animals that I somehow have found homes for. I love the rain, the cold, my garden, my African cichlids, my 6 year-old MacBook (again, THANK YOU Auntie Chris and Uncle John). I am thankful for my extended family, our health, thankful to my brother for his service. I'm lucky to have a sexy husband, a fine education, funny friends, fantastic memories, a beautiful, loving mother and my brother- alive and walking -after falling out of a plane. Yay Me!
Elise EatonI am a 26 year old proud mother and wife. My husband and I were just married in April of 2011. We have a beautiful 2 year old girl that is the center of my universe. Becoming a mom was the greatest moment of my life. I currently work at a local family owned restaurant as a bartender, I love being able to spend the days home with my daughter watching her grow and learn more and more every day. I consider myself a spontaneous and fun person, I like my job, being able to interact with different people from all walks of life ensures that I never get bored. I live in Maine and love spend as much time outdoors as possible, (that is when the weather here allows it) I love hiking and skiing, swimming, basketball, and rollerblading, if its an outdoor activity there is a good chance I enjoy it. One of my favorite new hobbies is cycling. I am fairly new to the sport, I just purchased a road bike a year ago. It is something I really enjoy and plan to spend time improving my ability. In the summer I also spend a large portion of my time in my garden. Growing up my family always had a large vegetable garden and now I will pass the tradition on to my daughter. There is nothing better than going to your backyard and picking a fresh salad for dinner that evening! That sums up my family and I, at this point in the journey called life. I am sure as time passes and I learn and grow my list of interests and achievements will evolve as well, till then I am just enjoying the ride!
Lara BrittMy home, especially my garden, give me comfort, security and endless variety. I feel the same well-being when thousands of miles from home base in a terrain and culture much different from my native Upper Mississippi Delta Region. I attribute this to the divided time of my youth spent shuttling between Southernmost Illinois, the suburbs of Chicagoland, and Honolulu. I enjoyed the uniqueness of these places knowing that the scenery was soon to change again. Lara Britt is a pen name, but I come across it honestly. It was very nearly the name on my birth certificate. "Lori Tian" and "ltsailiata" are also by-lines I use for WordPress.
JulietteI am the mother of 3 little boys who keep me very busy. I love to try new recipes and grow my garden. I love God and dream of sharing with others everything I know about health and how God has led in my life.
Chris SmithI live in the beautiful state of Montana with my two dogs, Jenny and Danny and my cat Lil. Of all the seasons, I love the spring and fall most. I can get out in my garden without being too hot. Walking (not hiking) in the woods is a favorite pastime. Going down to the river to play with the dogs and read is also high on my list. I've been a bookkeeper for close to 30 years now. I know all about being in one dead end job after another. They're all the same. The bosses are only interested in what you can do for them. Your co-workers are as liable to stab you in the back as look at you. You're expected to drive in to the office in blizzard conditions, because of course, your welfare is not the prime concern. So instead, I branched out and took on three clients who needed good part-time help and were willing to pay for it. I keep some control over when I work and I'm not a bit bored. I still drive in the snow, but not in rush hour traffic.
Barbara RadisavljevicI have lived in and loved California my entire life and now reside in Templeton, California on the Central Coast.. The longer I live in San Luis Obispo's North County, the more contented I become here. I live a simple and quiet life, running my on-line teacher store, tending my garden, walking most evenings near the Salinas River, and enjoying my husband's company. Following my graduation from UCLA in 1964, I married Kosta, who was born in Serbia. For the next 20 years we both pursued our careers until we became parents, when I decided to be a full-time mom.. We had fallen in love with a four-year-old foster child who lived next door. When Jason was five and Sarah, his natural sister, was nine they became our foster children, and we adopted them in 1984. . Jason died in a jet ski accident when he was fourteen. Sarah, who came with a lot more emotional baggage to deal with, took her own life when she was 34 and had been living away from us for over 15 years. Five years before Sarah died, a very close friend had also taken his own life, so we became well-acquainted with grief. We also learned to be care givers before we each lost a mother to cancer. My Christian faith is the lens through which I interpret what happens in the world and in my life, and my writing will reflect that.. I write about what I know, and that usually is my community, parenting, education, garden problems, and bereavement issues. I look forward to sharing my unique perspective on life, as formed by my experiences and my ongoing self-education, on Associated Content
Bethany G.My life is simply lived. For this reason I am often underestimated or overlooked. I am a wife and mother; not because I could not aspire to anything greater, but because I feel this in itself is great. I relish my daily tasks of teaching my child, baking bread, watering my garden, preparing our evening meal...I spend my free time--what little there be--reading, writing, sketching, dreaming.
Phyllis LongI was born in a small town in southern South Dakota and lived on a farm and ranch all by growing up years. We had a big garden, livestock and farming. I went to a country school through the eighth grade that was a mile from home so therefore I walked. There were six of us children in the family and all attended the country school. I boarded in town and went through high school and attended one year of college in accounting. Through all of this I still liked the country living. I married a rancher and we had six children. I have had to work in town to help support the family and the last few years I have been able to live in the country and attend to my garden which is mostly flowers, sewing, traveling and picture taking. This last year I just started quilting and made a number of quilts for my children and grandchildren.
