MY HOUSE

I m 52 years old, the mother of 2 children, ages 20 and 11. For the past several years I ve been a stay-at-home mom, raising my children and trying to convince the cleaning fairies to come live at my house, to no avail. After losing our home to foreclosure 2 years ago, the kids and I are living with my parents ~ an interesting situation.

House began his newspaper career at his hometown paper, the Texarkana Gazette, and went on to hold editing and reporting positions at the Dallas Times Herald, the Dallas Morning News, Denver Post and St. Petersburg Times. He was vice president and executive editor of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. He joined the Star-Telegram in 2000. House is married. He is the father of three daughters who have presented him with seven grandchildren. His wife of 31 years died in 2005 of a recurrence of breast cancer. He was planning to attend Sacred Heart seminary in Milwaukee to pursue a late-life vocation to the Roman Catholic priesthood when his friendship with a colleague led to their marriage in 2007. House wishes that public schools would require students to take at least one year of journalism.

I hope to graduate in June 2012. We live in the country, in the house my mother grew up in. We have 4 dogs and 3 cats, much to the chagrin of my mother and my daughter. You see, I am not much of a housekeeper. I will be the first to tell anyone that. Anyway, they keep me company during the day when everyone else is at work or school. My family is very close. My parents live right down the road and we usually all travel together on vacations, parents, us, aunts and uncles, cousins, etcs. The more the merrier! We are all great readers at my house. My son is interested in medieval stories. My daughter is into vampires and Pride and Prejudice. I read murder mysteries, supernatural mysteries, and romance mysteries. See the connection?? I also like biographies of my childhood heroes and people I find interesting today. I just got Elizabeth the Queen by Sally Bedell Smith. I have always wanted to write stories but I never had any idea how to get started. I guess this will be my chance.

My name is Tina Miller and I live in East Tennessee. I was raised by my grandparents and am very thankful for all that they did for me. I have lived in East Tennessee all my life. I married my childhood sweetheart and we have been together for 21 years. We have three wonderful children and a precious grandson. I love to spend time with my family. Growing up and being raised by my grandparents our house was always full on the holidays and I try to keep the tradition going. I love to cook and bake and so for all of the major holidays my house is usually pretty crowded, just the way I like. Our family has three dogs of which the oldest just had six puppies. We are all animal lovers which is not a surprise since I was raised on a farm. I would love to be able to travel but I have not been able to do that much yet. I also have wanted to be able to work from home and avoid the commute that we all love. I am presently taking online classes so that I can further my education and then be able to give my family a better life. My oldest child is getting ready for a major move and I am a little saddened by that, but it is going to be good for her, and maybe give me the excuse to travel a little too. I will definitely miss my grandson though.

I have earned a Bachelor's in Metaphysics and Ministry from the Sedona University of Metaphysics. I am currently working on my Masters. I am an Usui, Karuna, Organic, and Galactic healing Master Teacher. I teach those classes as well.
