D.M. Murdock/AcharyaSD.M. Murdock, also known as Acharya S, was born and raised in a Protestant Christian family, a descendant of Puritan proselytizers who arrived in America via the Winthrop Fleet in 1630. Having become a born-again Christian, she sought the facts behind Christianity, which brought her many surprises. At that time, Murdock also began studying the world's other religions in earnest, although she had been interested in them since childhood, when she read avidly about Greek mythology. She was also a big fan of famed anthropologist Dr. Louis Leakey. Acharya S/D.M. Murdock is the author of "The Christ Conspiracy," "Suns of God," "Who was Jesus?" "Christ in Egypt," "The Gospel According to Acharya S" and many other works. Her work was featured in the film "Zeitgeist," along with other documentaries, magazines and journals. Her main website is TruthBeKnown.com, but she also owns StellarHousePublishing.com and FreethoughtNation.com. Murdock writes extensively on the origins of religious ideas found in "modern" religions, sects and cults, extending back into remotest antiquity as found around the world. Included in this research is the analysis of much religious ideation as "nature-worshiping" or "astrotheological," meaning that religions and mythologies have revolved significantly around the reverence of the sun, moon, planets, stars and constellations, etc. D.M. Murdock is an alumna of Franklin & Marshall College and the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, Greece.
