Hannah E. TrotterI am a wife, pianist, homemaker, lover of old movies, beauty product aficionado, hopeful stylist, and Italian chef dilettante. I hope my musings will inspire you in your own journey!
Maggie CagleI was born in Dallas, TX, and I grew up in Southwest OK. I graduated from Cameron University in 1999. I have an eleven year old daughter named Harley Ciera. We have a pet hamster named Delilah. After my divorce recently we moved from a small farm to a small apartment in town. I am currently working as a substitute teacher while I take tests for my teacher certification. I enjoy spending time with my daughter, journaling to her, sewing, watching old movies and BBC comedies. I enjoy attending plays, listening to music, baking, cake decorating, and trying new recipes. I love to go camping, fishing, and I am always open to new ideas and willing to learn new things.
Charity MarzonieCharity Marzonie has a Bachelor's degree in English from Western Michigan University. She worked for two banks in the course of four years, so much of her current writing is on financial topics. In her spare time she likes reading and writing (naturally), watching old movies, exploring Michigan, and home brewing.
Anna AllenI am a 48 year old married Mom who works in the insurance industry in NYC. I am a BBW and while weight loss is always nice, I am happy with who I am. I enjoy travel, old movies and reading. We have a home in S.C. so there's lots of commuting at this time.
LORRAINE LARYAfter 20+ years as an artist earning my way selling at Art&Wine Festivals ,I've moved myself indoors...Online auction & store sales enable me to combine my personal interests:collectibles, old movies, and nostalgia in the items I sell.
Megan Harrell26 year old who loves to write. I took journalism classes, but they were far too political, and I HATE politics, so I stopped those. I was a manager at a pet store for 2 years, so I know a lot about pets of all kinds. I currently work in a warehouse club, but won't name which one. I'm a fan of Marina Sirtis, most things Star Trek (except that I HATE William Shatner), well done scifi, old movies (think Clark Gable and Audrey Hepburn), sports, comic book movies and cartoons, cooking and most weel done TV shows; however I HATE reality TV with a passion!
Zachary QueyrouzeA lover of the internet and anything tech, I also appreciate good books and old movies (80's movies count as old correct?). I've been an avid reader since a young age and i think this has helped to mold me into a somewhat proficient writer. My love for books expanded into websites and blogs, and even enjoying just reading the interpersonal exchanges of complete strangers over message boards. Always interesting to see how people relate and react to each other through the combination of the written word and the world wide web.
Alaina PattersonAlaina is a woman in her mid-twenties, and has never categorized herself as such before now. Excuse her while she pours herself a strong one to mask the pain of growing old. She categorizes herself as an avid reader, and has been since her third year. She enjoys most genres: literature (classic and modern), mysteries, travelogues, and humor are her favorites, while she will read the occasional romance to give her brain a break. In addition to books, television and movies are her second and third loves. Her TiVo routinely is at least 70% full, between the NBC comedy block, Conan on TBS, Futurama, Project Runway, Top Chef, and some old movies from Turner Classics. She is unashamed to admit that The Vampire Diaries is, indeed, her favorite show. (Shut up.) As you have probably guessed, Alaina is also rather fond of speaking of herself in the third person. By day, she is lower-level management at a local-yet-internationally-known retailer. By night, she fights crime and whips up pastries that put Betty Crocker to shame. Also, she writes a lot, though she never seems able to complete any of her many works in progress. You can follow her book reviews at That's What She Read(thtswhatsheread.wordpress.com).
Hailey MahanHailey is a twenty-something that loves to cook, clean, craft, and anything homemaking. Usually a drink is nearby. She recently switched from the law school track to moving to the East Coast to go to Grad School to pursue her dreams. How sweet, huh? But, it can be hard to concentrate at her paralegal job with so many recipes online! She currently lives in Dayton, Ohio (about an hour north of Cincinnati) and when she is not homemaking or working she enjoys her other old lady hobby of collecting silent film memorabilia. She also is a big fan of nightlife, wine (or just alcohol in general), fashion, old movies, True Blood, Mad Men, and new restaurants. She hopes to one day bring her know-how to twenty-something, single girls everywhere who just want a single serving of baked mac & cheese and to know why their tomato plants keep on dying!
Kristen BottI am a 26 year old living in the Baltimore, Maryland area (originally from the Jersey Shore) trying to figure out what it all means- life, relationships, money, friends- along with a healthy dose of humor and sarcasm. After earning a degree in English and finding no real use for it I am getting by at a temp job. I have a dog, Georgia, whom I share with my live-in boyfriend of 7 years. I have a passion for old movies, hair metal and classic rock, and road trips.
Rachel GibasThe heart of my passions lie in art. I was an art teacher, was an after school art specialist, worked as a program coordinator at an art museum, had an art gift basket business, and have had a solo show of my paintings and sculpture. That photography class in college is what kept me from becoming an English teacher. Now I only shoot photographs with my Holga toy camera for its anti-technology art effects. Since moving to Los Angeles, where I live with my wife and our four cats, I have discovered old movies and am working my way through the AFI 100. I am slowly experiencing all of the magnificent old theaters here, too. I love that in LA, everyone is a local act. When I need to dream, I go to nature and the outdoors. I yearn to travel, see animals in their environment, discover roadside Americana, and get giddy with delight at the weird and wacky. I collect experiences because I believe that's what life's all about.
