    MONTI SHARP is a professional actor and native of Louisiana. Trained at the highly acclaimed North Carolina School of the Arts, Monti began his professional career in broadcasting, reporting for the CBS affiliate station KNOE-TV in Monroe, Louisiana. Later, he moved to New York City, and began performing in plays at many of the nation's top theatres and was eventually discovered for a role on the former CBS Daytime drama THE GUIDING LIGHT. He was awarded both the Soap Opera Digest Award, and the coveted Daytime Emmy Award for his work. On film and television Monti has appeared in "Dead Presidents", and "Rebound", and on hit shows such as MODERN FAMILY, ER, 24, MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, PRISON BREAK, and SIX FEET UNDER to name a few. He has penned several screenplays and directed a number of short films. Monti has been a contributing writer for many publications down through the years, and continues to write about his interests which include General Aviation and Martial Arts. In 1995, he earned his Private Pilot License in a Piper PA-28 and has earned both a yellow belt in Seido Karate, and a black belt in Wing Chun Kung Fu.
