PARTYING

This May I graduated from Plattsburgh State University with a Bachelors in Television Production and a Minor in Partying like a Rock Star. Done with school and out of the Frat house I am eager to make my mark on the world. With such a horrible economic situation in America I have not found a career yet but with all these problems in the world, (sky high gas prices, famine, war in the middle east, tsunamis to the west) there seems to be so much to investigate and write about. I have excess free time which I need to fill, and what better way than to express myself in my second favorite medium, print. I am very opinionated but also very personable as well. I believe one of my best qualities is my ability to actively listen and engage people in witty intellectual conversations. I am always trying to make people laugh (especially females) and I try hard to keep up with the latest trends, sports, and stay informed on current news. I have many diverse interests one of them just happens to be writing. Stay tuned.

I am a woman in mid 20's, with a creativity and strangeness in my spirit. I went to a convent, was an average student but often in detention for talking too much, forgetting things or not xompleting my homework. I had amazing friends, and still do even though they have changed now, as is life as we grow into adulthood. I lost my way when I started university, methinphetamine partying and a long term relationship. I fell in love, dropped out of university, moved overseas for a few years and learned great lessons about life and myself. I returned to my beautiful city, as the lack of sun was affecting my energy. The man I loved returned with me, but was unhappy and so I encouraged him to find his own purpose in life, without anyone being there to influence or hold him back. We promised we would be married happily one day and grow old together. We remained best friends from a distance. I met new people, found new parts of my soul, became a child carer, lover, adult and new woman. My frienda mean the world to me, and I see the best in every one I meet. I make friends with the homeless, interact with the elite as well as the scum. I have a past filled with danger and darkness, and I seek to find new light through assisting others in finding light of their own. I am cautious to open up, Im incredibly sensitive and to a degree, even naive. I wish to always have the ability to see the world through the eyes of a child. I hope for the best and focus on the positive, but my self confidence is damaged and my spirit grows weaker with each disappointment of the good of the world. I am changing again now, as I find a new path to live. I am clumsy and scatterbrained, and the most random 'what are the chances' things are abundant in my world. I will show you life through my eyes, & you might cry, laugh or simply conclude Im a freak! I warn you however, I go far deeper than what you imagine.

I was born July 29, 1988 and life has been one curve ball after another. I grew up in a small town and graduated high school in 2006 with the same sixty kids that I started kindergarten with, give or take a few. I also graduated from the B.O.C.E.S program in 2006 with my cosmetology license and was ready to start my career, or so I thought. After attending a community college to attain my associates degree I decided to continue my education at SUNY Oneonta to become a teacher. I spent my first year there like every freshmen did, partying. The first semester I survived with descent grades, but my second semester caught me off guard. My roommates and I went out more and my classes got more difficult, I got myself on academic probation. I also found out that semester that in order to graduate with a degree in education I would have to spend another three years there after already having completed two years at community school, let's just say that being a full time student was not in the card for me so I changed my major to my focus, English. My next year at SUNY Oneonta, I decided I needed to get my grades back up and would have to limit myself to partying on the weekends only. I am not one of those people that are naturally book smart, I hate those people. It Day took a lot of long hours and discipline to get my grades up, but each A bought me a lot of pride. I also cut hair on the side which allowed me to bring in that little extra cash for the nights I did go out. Not only was I bringing in money and getting my grades up, but I was also getting away from a guy that had been dragging me down my whole freshmen year. He got himself into a mess of drugs and ended up in some sort of mental institution. I never did drugs, but I let him manipulate me and ended put myself through therapy to get myself away from him mentally as well as physically. Once I graduated therapy, I was able to focus more on my grades and for once myself. I fell out of my depres

A little about me... I am a former Navy Veteran, I served 8 years as a Navy Corpsman. There I learned a lot about myself and others. I joined at the tender - impressionable age of 18. I was able to get medical training and see the world. I was stationed in Iceland and served as a combat medic with First Marine Division as a field medic from 2000-03. That duty station left the biggest impression on me. I did 2 deployments with 1st Marines and was able to see beautiful places like the Seychelle Islands, train in the Northen Territory of Australia or as they say "The Outback", the Middle East, The Commando Course in Singapore, I have also been there several times, lovely place and no there aren't officers there waiting to cane you. It is very well kept, lovely place though. I have also been to Thailand several times, Hong Kong, Bahrain, a few other places as well while on deployment. Spain was my reward to me for staying in for 5 years, so I re-enlisted to go there. I was immediately intrigued by the culture there and Sangria... I had a nice place by the beach and I could see the Atlantic Ocean from my balcony. I learned a lot about myself there, after all the partying and staying out with friends till 6 am during the summer of 2003. Those were my mid-twenties and I was more concerned about going to the beautiful beaches there, working out and going on long runs than being more introspective and finding out what is going on with the world around me. I started reading Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn and that led me to find out more about US History and study present and past US Foreign Policy. I continue to read non-fiction books on various subjects such as: Media, propaganda, Spanish Empire and empires in general, Vietnam War, etc. I was honorablly discharged from the Navy in late 2005. I've lived in Davenport Iowa for pretty much all of the twenty-three years of my life. Not much of a place to live but... Truth be told, nothing is impressive. I've lived in many different types of environments, the parents moved around alot. They separated when I was eight, leaving my sister and I with Mother, and the other two brothers with Father. Mother had a break down when I was in the fifth grade, so I had to live with various; albeit generous strangers and relatives. I decided to go it alone at fourteen and had caused alot of mischief; drugs, drinking, partying, theft, you name it and I've probably done it. I ended up facing eight years of prison for committing a childish prank, and scared, I turned myself into a fugitive from the law. Four and a half years, some of which was spent living luxuriously is Florida. My escapade came to an abrupt end when I was sitting alone and scared in a jail cell awaiting the vicious monsters of prison. But, "truth be told" it wasn't as bad as my imagination made it out to be. Now here I am, on parole trying to clean up this mess of a life I had made for myself, and it's no easy task, but one that's getting done with a smile.

I usually only game in the winter when I can't be outside in this state (ND) for longer than 10 minutes at a time for fear of hypothermia.
