I'm a journalist and the author of The Independent Report, a non-partisan, non-ideological analysis of economic news, fiscal and monetary policy, inflation, the national debt, energy issues and other market events. I report on, and analyze, current economic events, including housing, unemployment, federal spending, budget deficits, the National Debt, inflation, interest rates, the Federal Reserve, banking, bank failures, the bond and stock markets, energy and Peak Oil. I am solidly non-partisan, an independent thinker, and not motivated by politics or ideology. I was formerly a Money Correspondent for Gather.com and my work has been featured on various news sites, such as KATU, Portland, Global Warming Crisis Council, SFBayOil.org, EnergyBulletin.net, TheOilDrum.com and ManuBiz.com. I studied journalism and writing at Emerson College and graduated with a BS in Mass Communication.
