Jaci BottermanI am a mother of three with a passion for healthy families! My background includes a nursing degree, as well as two years of general sciences. During my nursing career I focussed on birth and postpartum, having assisted countless families with breastfeeding, newborn care and perinatal education. I have a passion for helping new moms ( and Dad's) adjust to the physical and emotional changes that follow the birth of a child. I enjoy the ups and downs of modern day" mom culture", and comined with my nursing experiences find writing on these topics to be a creative, and humorous outlet for myself. I plan to puruse technical medical writing and less formal health related topics. I am currently working to establish a breastfeeding support website and blog to offer a pure perspective for those seeking advice and resources.

Better BirthingBirth is the ultimate feeling for a woman, and it should be a special event shared by those who support and love you. It is the meeting of your miracle, and a time to celebrate the life you nurtured and carried within. I am a qualified doula, and have studied lactation management as well as various other perinatal modules. I am currently studying a Diploma of HE in adult education with the National Childbirth Trust in order to get a formal qualification behind me for my antenatal education classes. Pregnancy, birth and all that goes with are my passions in life.
