Dana VincentI was employed as a Veterinay Technician for 16 years, 5 of those years being in emergency and critical care at an emergency practice in Anchorage Alaska. I have seen ALOT of interesting cases. I am interested in giving practical advice to anyone wishing to enter the field. I can also give advice on pet care. I now earn a living as a pet sitter. Also, I can give advice on Alaska-whether it be to people just visiting (where to go, what to do) or folks who are interested in living there. (i.e. how to survive an Alaskan winter in an unfinished cabin with no electricity, running water, plumbing or a car.) Looking forward to sharing my expertise. Sincerely Dana Hagar

Jillian MyersOwner of Healthy Paws in Los Angeles and PetTech-certified pet first aid, CPR & care instructor focused on "improving the quality of pets' lives, one pet owner at a time." My goal is to put pet health care knowledge back in the hands of pet owners and pet care professionals, encouraging them to take a proactive stance in the care of their (and their client's) pets. As a volunteer for Los Angeles Animal Services, I see firsthand the mistreatment and neglect that many of our city's animal suffer at the hands of uneducated owners. Through my company's animal rescue fundraising program, I'm looking to partner with rescue groups and other animal-related organizations to raise awareness of these issues as well as much needed funds.

Joy LeeAfter a career of over twenty years in marketing, corporate strategy, consulting and executive leadership in the medical and chemical products industries, Joy Lee left corporate life in 2001 to pursue her passion for animals. She spent several years as a full-time volunteer at the Humane Society of Missouri in St. Louis, where she worked primarily with large dogs on socialization and basic obedience to improve their chances for successful adoption. During her time with the Humane Society, she attended several behavior and obedience training courses and also volunteered in the veterinary clinic assisting with surgical and post-operative care of dogs and cats. Of course, she couldn't resist adding several shelter dogs to her family during this time. After moving to Houston, Texas in 2003 to escape the Missouri winters, Joy worked for several years as an independent consultant in the biomedical industry. She joined the staff at Rover Oaks Pet Resort in 2005 "just for fun", and worked initially in customer service, doggie daycare, pet care management and as Director of Operations. Joy and Steve Smith (owner of Rover Oaks Pet Resort in Houston) became partners in Rover Oaks Pet Resort in Katy in late 2005 and worked throughout 2006 to oversee the construction and start-up of the new facility, which opened its doors that September. She concedes that she now works harder than she ever has in her life! She has recently published a book entitled "Rover's Rescues...True Stories of Shelter Dogs and Second Chances", relating the stories of a number of shelter dogs from Citizens for Animal Protection who found loving homes with a little help from caring friends. Joy currently resides in the Houston area with husband Tommy, human son Geoffrey and her five rescued canine children: Sylvie, Rusty, Tyson, Turbo and Merlin. She dreams of retiring on a beach some day!
