David ChesanowDavid Chesanow grew up in East Islip, Long Island. After sparing humanity by bombing out of the premed program at Johns Hopkins University, he majored in history (his real passion, not science) and somehow barely managed to get his B.A. in 1978. He moved to Manhattan, briefly attended Columbia University's School of Advanced International Affairs and worked odd jobs before being hired as a copy editor at Dell Publishing Company, enabling him to draw a salary while indulging his love of books. Despite having a great apartment in SoHo, David pursued his dream of moving to Japan in 1985, where he taught English in Tochigi Prefecture and Hokkaido (the northernmost of the five main islands) and developed a lifelong hatred of snow. In 1999, he moved back to the U.S. with his wife and three sons and settled in the South Puget Sound area of Washington State, reestablishing himself as a freelance copy editor for New York book publishers while also embarking on an exciting new career as a starving writer for www.americollector.com -- a website dedicated to history, collecting, exclusive interviews; "What the experts collect", auction information, various exhibits and collector shows around the Pacific Northwest and beyond. David is interested in a wide range of pop-cultural subjects, from doo-wop to roadside Americana to tattooing. An inveterate collector on a perpetually limited budget, he tries to limit himself to vintage boxing memorabilia, unusual autograph letters and off-beat illustration; sometimes he's successful. He approaches collecting as student of history - i.e., as a means to preserve and build on our body of knowledge of a subject - and not as the mindless accumulation of "stuff." He especially promotes collecting as a great educational pursuit for kids, believing you can still have a lot of fun and learn a lot while doing it on the cheap.

Alpine SwiftAlpine Swift, the pseudonym for Nigerian-born Paul Arthur Osaroejii, has started gaining online popularity, though none of the writer's novels has been published. This is an irony in an industry where an author ought to have published series of books, or sold countless copies, before his or her name becomes popular. However, this 28 years old writer and lyricist has carved a notch for himself as a brand name that keeps the audience waiting. His style of writing promises to earn him a huge audience, both critics and fans alike. Then, when it comes to his style of music, those songs are better listened to, than talked about. His creative Soul music comes with a fusion of Afro-rhythm, mashed with a rare voice that reminds of the late Afro-beats originator, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, who, as Alpine Swift puts it, is one of his major sources of inspiration - Alpine Swift's boldness showcases his fearless disposition and presents him as a social activist. His writings and songs transcend the realms of love, charity, and courage, and fling open a new civilization - that in which people must live for others rather than for self, he believes in equality and advocates for women's rights and child protection. He has written 7 novels, and over 62 songs, and has not released any; he says, "The world is waiting for me." Trained in the Catholic seminary, he opted out from the priestly vocation, as he was rather occupied with the thought of being a social activist with music and writing than becoming a priest as his parents wanted him to, though his family was disappointed, he always said "my voice will be louder from the studio than from the pulpit." Moreover, the reason he gave everyone for leaving the seminary was, "equanimity in the face of misrule is false prudence." He perceived the seminary and priesthood as an entirely alienated world totally blind to the sufferings and misery in the secular world - so for him it was an question of going into the world to effect change.

After over twenty years writing Rare Finds, Heasley has built a network of high profile classic car enthusiasts who get leads on cars and always call him first. All within the same year, two of my uncles died (one from AIDS and one from congestive heart failure), my mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and my closest grandmother suffered from a debilitating stroke. Despite the turmoil, I used my disadvantages to my advantage and still excelled in school. I attended Santa Maria High School where I participated in the AVID program and graduated top of my class. Directly after high school, I was accepted to UCLA where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Minor Specialization in English. During this time, I also had my first beautiful daughter. After living in Los Angeles for nearly four and a half years, I moved back to my hometown, Santa Maria. I begin working for Oilfield Environmental and Compliance (my current job) where I started as a glassware washer and worked my way up to project manager in six months. Currently I am attending Brandman University and obtaining my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and I just recently had my second daughter. Jessica BishopI am a 28 year old mother of one beautiful five-year-old boy. I am a stay-at-home mom, and I also sell various kinds of handmade items that I make at home. I love arts and crafts, DIY, jewelry making, collage and mixed media, art journaling, and so much more. I have a somewhat rare illness that prohibits me from being very active, so I have pretty much dedicated my life to my love for art (and of course my son). I also love writing, reading, poetry, nonfiction, documentaries, memoirs, imponderables, how-to books, magazines, and guided journals. I collect blank journals with interesting covers, and anything to do with the Eiffel Tower. I absolutely adore animals. I love neons, and I make sure to incorporate it in my clothes, jewelry, and makeup frequently. I also enjoy blogging, online shopping, and searching for new and interesting websites. My fairly new blog, Wall to Wall Websites, is dedicated to websites I find while searching the internet. I share the sites that I find the most interesting and feel others will too. I love writing so I figured I would give this website a chance. I submitted one article about my health condition a couple years back, but never followed up on the whole article writing thing. Now I am giving it another go and hopefully I will be inspired by reading all of the wonderful articles submitted by people on this website. There are so many great writers on here. It is amazing how much talent I am seeing on this website. I am by no means as good as half these people are, but I will surely do my best and if all else fails, at least I'll have fun with it and have some articles to show my son one day!
