The Rights Times is a human rights blog on human rights at the UN (Special reports from the United Nations in Geneva), in the news and in every day life.

Because the many tasks American Liberty Rights compels, many of its competitors try to stay away from taking risks such as consumer issues and political and police abuse..

I'm an Irish born person who likes the outdoors, human rights issues, buildings and sports. I have held many positions in academic sports circles and regard it as my main point of interest.

My name is Jonathan Parsons and I have been writing Civil Rights and technology related articles for at least 10 years. I enjoy delving deep into interesting and sometimes ambiguous topics. I try to deconstruct the media treatment of the issue to get to the bedrock of the topic. As well as Law and Civil Rights I enjoy technology with it being one of my main pastimes.

Anita Cameron hails from Chicago, IL, and is the younger of twins. She holds degrees in Biology, and Computer Information Systems. Drawing on her passion for social justice and change, she became involved in several movements, culminating in her introduction to the Disability Rights Movement. In 1986, Anita joined ADAPT, a national, grassroots disability rights organization. In 25 years of involvement, she has risen to a position of national leadership. She helped to write a piece of national legislation that is in both houses of Congress, was invited to the White House on two occasions, has met three sitting U.S. Presidents and one Vice-President, helped to organize a national March, and was published in a book by the late award-winning writer and historian, Howard Zinn. Anita loves cats, computers, music, books, blogging, traveling, and collecting coins. She lives in Denver, CO.

I am a passionate and life-long learner, with a keen (albeit unofficial) interest in constitutional law and citizens' legal powers. I am a staunch defender of civil rights and believe in a legally intelligent and empowered citizenry. I am thrice disabled, these dx's either comorbid with or resulting from hydrocephalus and its surgical treatment. The "trifecta" is Nonverbal Learning Disability, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and clinically significant (talk about understatement!) Anxiety. Yes - capitalized. I also happen to have some pretty strong gifts as well, when I am diligent about the basic health stuff (especially diet, exercise and GETTING ADEQUATE SLEEP!) and when the non-basic stuff is likewise managed well and followed (meds, keeping track of and keeping appointments, and following through with my own health monitoring and care plans). I AM going to master this "life" thing, and ALL of the conflicts (and their participants!) and opportunities it has to offer.
