Vanessa HarringtonBorn and raised in the Seattle area, I have a degree in journalism from the Edward R. Murrow School of Communications. I worked for a non-profit organization managing adult and youth sports, mostly indoor soccer. I was also Marketing Director for that same non-profit. I have been life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon), which deeply effects my personal life, opinions and writing. I am a mother of two young children, which also affects every facet of my life; I love being a mom (most days). I also love exercise and sports, especially soccer.
Katie BrowerMy name is Katie Brower. I was born in California and moved to Utah when I was very young. I grew up in Highland, Utah, a small town that borders American Fork, Utah. (Half way between Provo and Salt Lake) I gained a love of reading in second grade and still enjoy it today. I attended an Accelerated Learning Lab in 5th and 6th grade that allowed me to skip Pre-algebra and go straight to Algebra in 7th grade. I also attended the Gifted and Talented Program in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. In 9th grade I was in a program my school called "biology block." (One period of biology and a period split between first aid and wilderness science.) This program allowed me to be the first responder for the junior high, and through that experience I decided I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. I tested for my Temporary Dan black belt in Omega Martial Arts the fall of my freshman year, and my 1st Dan the fall of my sophomore year. I marched for the American Fork High School Marching Band my junior and senior years, marched with them in the Macy's Day parade, and won the Western Regional Bands of America competition. By taking general high school requirements like Driver's Ed., P.E., health, etc. online and through the alternative high school, and taking AP classes and Distance Education classes from the local university (Utah Valley University) I finished my "pre-Professional Associates of Science" degree, from the above mentioned school, the summer after I graduated from high school and received the New-Century Scholarship. In the process of finishing up my associates degree I got my EMT license and once again affirmed to myself that I want to be a doctor. I started attending Brigham Young University (a private university operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which I am happily a member) the fall after I graduated from high school, where I started my pre-med classes and worked on the grounds crew. And, I also tested for my 2nd Dan black belt th

Tereza DeLeonHi! I am 28 years old, a single mother, I am currently a student at UOP (yes, I am a Phoenix...lol), and I work full time for a pipeline engineering and project consulting firm. New Orleans is my home, therefore, I am a huge Saints fan. No, I am not an expert on any particular subject, field, or such, but I am an observer. I love to travel and simply live life; experience new things. I observe everything around me and always question it. My interests are life, the mind, and the arts. In a sense, the three derive from an unknown but are so full of life and this is what intrigues me.
Andy NeedhamAndy Needham was born in Mesa, Arizona. As a child, his father was enlisted in the United States Army; therefore, he spent most of his youth traveling to various locations in and around Hawaii and Missouri. Andy is an Eagle Scout, and a member of the National Honor Society. At the age of 20, Andy served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the country of Peru. He now lives in Lebanon, Missouri where he attends a small community college in hopes of a better future. He has a beautiful girlfriend named Sarah.

I have 3 kids which keeep me motoviated to excel in all aspects of life. I am an avid New Orleans Saints fan. Our entire family had to live through the horror of Hurricane Katrina, which has given me a different outlook on how precious life is and that we need to enjoy every minute. I also love to taste different wines which I would consider a good hobby.
Danny CoxDanny Cox is a guy that has interests all over the place and doesn't care if one isn't exactly similar to the next. His writing career began at Inside Pulse Movies where he continues today as a writer and co-editor. He is an avid movie fan that has been a critic since 2005 which helps a lot with his growing DVD/Blu-ray collection that currently sits at over 3,000. More of his news and reviews can also be found at Examiner.com where Danny is the New Orleans Movie Examiner. Danny loves all sports including wrestling but is a college and professional football fan above all else. The New Orleans Saints are and always will take top priority. Danny became a reporter for Examiner.com in another department after taking over the spot of New Orleans Saints Examiner in December 2009. His love for writing knows no bounds and even though he works as an insurance agent most of the time, Danny will write until he's got nothing more to write about. Chances are that will never happen as he now hopes to get his vast knowledge of movies, sports, music, television, and the world of Disney out to anyone and everyone.
alexandria davisI love the United States very much. My family is a family of veterans, so I grew up with a strong love for the military. My Dad is a National Guard soldier, and I am very proud of him! I am totally blind, so I couldn't serve directly. I found the auxiliary one day, and now I serve in the Coast Guard as an auxiliarist. Right now I am a new member. I am in the Air Force Auxiliary CAP as a second lutenent. I also love playing Taps with my honor guards very much. It allows me to give back to those who truly gave so much more than I ever could. I began playing percussion when I was twelve years old in my school band. In the eighth grade, I made District Honor Band, and in the tenth grade, I made All State Semi-finalist and was principle timpanist. I started touring with my first drum and bugle corps, Court of Honor from Atlanta, Georgia when I was seventeen. I was principle timpanist there as well, and for the next several years, I toured with various drum and bugle corps such as the Blue Saints from Sudbury Canada, Parriah Percussion Theatre from Georgia, Edmonton Strutters from Alberta, and after which I started attending university as a music performance major. I began playing the trumpet at eighteen. I was taught by my bugle corps, The Blue Saints. I began as a professional bugler completing my first Military Funeral Honors Performance November 2007. I perform in ND.
Alma K. AsbyI grew up in the quilted patchwork of the Wisconsin countryside where I climbed trees, milked goats, butchered chickens, explored meadows, rode horses, and lived without television in a world of imaginative reality. As the eldest of a home-schooling brood of 8, I taught siblings to read, learned the principles of self-education, and got a lot of experience with diapers, bottles, and tickling. I wrote my first poem at the age of 6 and my first short story at 8. During my teen years I had a successful subscription-based humorous e-newsletter; at 19 I finished my drawer novel; and at 21 made the final entry in my journal of juvenile poetry. My blog garnered 50,000 hits before I closed it down and moved on to different publishing interests. At fundamentalist Baptist colleges I enjoyed studying ancient Greek and theology but dropped out during my senior year, helping my husband finish his degree. I returned to self-education in order to pursue interests not available to me in a formal setting. I believe that reading original voices, writing extensively, and practicing what one learns in order to discover its hidden truths (or expose it as a delusion) are the real elements of learning - at least to the uncommon, independent mind. As Alexander Pope says, "Tis education forms the common mind: Just as the twig is bent the tree's inclined." I now live in Michigan with my husband and son. I help my husband with his landscape design start-up business, teach piano, direct choir at our local Orthodox Church, and write and write and write. My favorite authors include popular writers like Lillian Jackson Braun and Clive Cussler; classic authors like Richard Burton (Anatomy of Melancholy,) and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; contemporary writers like Andrea Barrett and Susanna Clarke; poets such as Francis Thompson, G. K. Chesterton, the Brownings, Robert Frost, and George Herbert; and Orthodox saints from Athanasius to Symeon to Silouan.
