Upon hearing that the 30's are the new 20's I hid in my closet. As a mother of 3 teenagers I can't bare the thought or returning to 20 anything! Being firmly planted in my mid-30s I have found contentment with myself, mylife, and my creases between my eyebrows. I have stopped caring about the answer to "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I cling to my love of shoes and still get teary eyed at the memories of each pair that I have sold on eBay. My patient husband is understanding of my racing ideas and love of weddings. All in all I am happy and the implied regression in age will be fought with sensible shoes, common sense, and large amounts of sarcasm. The insanity that I am helps me pursue my love of fiction writing.

  • Jesse Ouimet
Jesse is a writer for DDGAMEWORLD.COM & DORKSHELF.COM and a rare half-breed of former jock turned uber-geek. He spends his days as a digital marketing manager, who has worked on campaigns for Proctor & Gamble, Hasbro, Universal, Budweiser and Honda, to name a few. By night he's a recluse gamer, sandwich aficionado and possesses the unique mutant power of sarcasm. Jesse attended College, not University. So the only credentials you'll find after his name are Bad Ass MC/Gaming enthusiast. He received his diploma in Advertising while playing 3 years of D1 hockey in the US - and proudly maintained an above 3.0 GPA; despite the intense hockey schedule and weekends away. After graduation Jesse faced the choice of taking advantage of his full Swiss citizenship and going overseas to play pro hockey, or heeding the advice of his college professor/mentor and getting into Copywriting. He decided to go the Don Draper route and went on to receive his post-grad in Copywriting at Humber College in Toronto. Since then Jesse has worked at a number of full-service agencies and now specialize in Digital Marketing and Social Media Brand Management.

Well hello there! Sadly, there is far too much I could say about myself and about .5% of it will fit in this little box, so I'll just hit the bases and be done with it all: I am a college student, I have an attitude, I'm an art/theater/music fanatic, I like coffee shops with dim lighting, walking down streets that simply scream "bad idea", vintage clothing, cupcakes, driving too fast, drinking on work/school nights, the after sex cigarette, deep dish pizza, sarcasm, bitchiness appreciation, Waffle House at 4 am, public displays of affection, and God. :D Everything else you need to ever know about me, falls somewhere in those categories. Mucho love!
